Good news on JC..but i wont hold my breath. Sorry for holmes(seprating a shoulder/being waived) but its a numbers gm and was expected...down to metta and brown. I wonder what the FO values more.....

To clarify...its 10 days on waivers for Upshaw, correct? I read in season its 48 hrs but clearly we are not in season.

Lakers @ Knicks tickets have been purchased. Never have been to an NBA regular season game. Never seen the Lakers play live. Never seen Kobe play live before.

Hopefully Bean plays. I've been to 4 Laker games still have yet to see the GLOAT outside of a suit. Hopefully he at least makes it to Christmas.

Its 48 hours...They cleared yesterday.

Coach nick looking scressed. At least he sees what I see. I been saying randle is perfectly capable of driving right. He just rarely attempts to finish with his offhand, like 85% of nba players

n wonder i didnt see clarkson come out yesterday

The league is so poor on wings who can shoot 3s and adequately defend both shooting guards and small forwards that I could see a team like New Orleans talking itself into Nick Young — even with Young’s deal running three more seasons.

Young is a punch line, but his $5.3 million–per-year deal will look teensy as the cap leaps, and he still shot 37 percent from deep in an embarrassing season with the Lakers. He’s serviceable on defense when he cares. He might be able to play a role on a good team that can reach him.

A Young for Pondexter swap would be ideal.

Edit:

It would have to be Pondexter and another scrub.

Don't think they'd do Pondexter for Swaggy.

Think they'd want them as a tandem for depth.

Yeah, and the rest of the Pelicans roster is incompatible with what the Lakers would need, I think.

So Kobe may miss the opener? Jeez.

I think they're just saying questionable in case they need to keep him out it won't be as a big deal.

But all indications is that he's playing. Could change, but everyone assumes he's playing the opener.

They're just keeping him out of everything as a precaution.

From what I just read he's half practice Sunday. Full practice Monday & Tuesday.

Can't believe Kobe has missed this much already for a bruise, based on the looks of that play where he caught a knee to the upper calf, you know he's really old

I said two years ago Kobe's repaired Achilles would force other parts of his lower body to compensate, thus increasing the chances he'd get hurt. Looks like it's ringing true. :smh:

Russell & Randle were the last 2 left putting up shots after practice ended. :pimp:

‏@ChrisBHaynes Center Robert Upshaw cleared waivers and will sign with Lakers' D-League affiliate (LA D-Fenders), league source informs @Clevelanddotcom.
