This is literally like a manager of a restaurant joking about 3 or 4 annoying regulars and someone else chiming in, "Ummm, other people eat food, too, you know" and the manager explains that he was joking about how annoying those people are and someone ELSE chiming in saying, "I think what he's saying is that you were acting like those people are the only people who matter."
He made a list of annoying contributors from a couple years ago and it was taken as a list of the thread's elite.
"I can't even" + "Aye dios mio" + "Oy vey."
I blame Lebron.
No, that's exactly what it was. Listing posters who are at the center of the conversation in this thread at least 90% of the time and pointing out how often they're in that conversation by interjecting themselves or the topic itself being about them.
Again, it's not a huge deal. This has been true of the thread for many years and I don't find it to be so important that it needs to be discussed at length. But denying that it's true would be strange.
And now I see the "literally like" part of your statement. So it seems we agree.

Again, I didn't mean to say it was shade. And I wish I wasn't trying to argue another person's position because I could definitely be interpreting what they said incorrectly and this would be over nothing.

Your interpretation is exactly that.
What it actually was is what it actually was. And what it actually was what was actually said. And was actually said was, "Boy, these people used to argue all the time in here and now none of them were involved."
Anything beyond that is an interpretation, no matter how stubbornly that interpretation is pawned as fact.

I think the CBB thread is the most insular thread on this board. It's great for the people involved for sure, able to have sustained conversations about things they are interested in, but I don't know if it's all that great for anyone else wanting to partake.

Actually, I think the NFL thread is a great example of a even conversation among the people who post. NBA thread, too (though it may very well be the worst thread on here
).
