People that can't interpret information properly maybe.

Saying you shouldn't turn him away if he wants to play here isn't stanning. It's logical thinking.

Not one, not a single person, has said sign him to be "the one". We've said sign him to be a part of the core going forward if he wants to join us.

Saying no, hoping for a better option in the future, is bad for business.

I look at like this, Demar + Lowry is all they got in TDot. All on them. Every detail.

But he was good enough to them to the 2 seed. Then has struggled in playoffs. Cuz focus is tighter by other teams.

Goal here, get 4-5-6-7 key pieces, let them take turns being part of winning process. Let DD help carry reg season, and maybe DLo shines post. Or Ingram, Randle, Whiteside, etc. Whoever. If those players shine, and you switch best defenders to them, then DD can get loose against lesser defenders for a change.

That's the goal. Until "hopefully" one of these kids becomes the total franchise type player.

That's not stanning. It's team building from scratch. Trying to rebuild without a Shaq/Kobe type God to overcome everything. Until, like I said, someday maybe one of the kids becomes that God.

Bad business to wait for better options, when he's not that good in the first place? Why do we have to spend all our cap this summer? We can chase defensive players now and worry about offense next summer when they're are better options.

Who said to spend all our cap?

What better options next year? A group of guys that could all be ruined next year?

You don't save up into the future thinking you'll get them too. Not how it works. Remember the 2010 Knicks?

 chase defensive players, get offensive ones next year. This ain't football dude.

You just want Russ. Let that **** go man.

We've settled for patchwork guys for 3 years are we ready to throw max money to Derozan..I say no..Not the type of player to crack the whip and run with young guys..not max money worthy IMO

Why don't you let go of wanting Derozan? Russ is just as likely to want to come here as he does.

I don't WANT DeRozan, I'm just not gonna cry if he signs here. How many ways do you need this to be said?

DD ain't even worth it. He's not that good to deserve this much discussion. But the question is how serviceable can he be under certain situations. At the numbers he gets and the way he plays if 3 years from now he turns into the 3rd/4th best player on the team that is contending for a title, I would take that.
Now the money for signing him to the squad I don't agree with but if he is a player that truly wants to be here and no one else seems to want to be here and we are just waiting around with our ball park Frank's in our hands then we should sign him.
But to say you would just shun him like players are beating down our doors to play with our rookies is asinine.
But trust me there is not one notable free agent coming out that I wouldn't take over DD. But that doesn't say he isn't skillful or serviceable. Just depends on the price and his future role.

Yes let's sign a center when the league is pushing towards position less basketball

Legite C still put in work in this League

Russ will be nearing the tail end of his prime aint no tellin what his body will be like next summer thats my only issue with him..

Yea this is false.

Demar and Westbrook both want to come to the Lakers, but obviously money can only be given to one, who you taking?

Russ of course but he aint no yougin like that anymore he will be 29 and wont be jumping out the gym forever

With multiple knee surgeries already on his resume. And still has to make it thru another calendar year before we can talk to him.

Derozan is a year younger and not close to being as good of a player. What makes you think Russ is going to slow down, dude had 2 knee surgeries and came back STRONGER! I think for the length of the deal which would be 4 years, you get at worst a top 10 guy at the tail end. You'll never have that with Demar.
