Kobe is who he is.

Year or 2.

Byron's temporary.

Not a playoff team anyways (or an NCAA tournament team, but hey. )

Newbs still figuring it out.

*repeats to self repeatedly*

Best quarter was the 3rd. We won 33-28.

Hibbert played all 12 minutes. 4 blocks.

Kings shot 6/14 from the paint (34/49 in 1st,2nd & 4th)

We shot 70% to their 40%.

Clarkson had 11 points. Hibbert had 8 points.

Kobe

9-15 from 2.
4-21 from 3.

Further brings up the point.. Get him screens / P&R
1. P&R where he can get moving toward the basket. At the very least, he knows how to get a foul call.
2. P&R at the top the key to get an elbow jumper.
3. Get him a shot at the elbow off a screen.
4. Use Russell or Clarkson P&R and have Kobe in the corner, and see if they play off him.
5. Have Kobe be the roll man, or pop out for a shot after setting a screen.
6. Only shoot 3s if you have a smaller player on you. Or a big who is giving you space. Or on a P&R where the guy goes under.

No reason that you can't get Kobe points in an effective way.

It's fine if he occasionally isos in the post. But there's still far too many isos.

As someone who is 37 and played 19 seasons so far, his shot selection makes him look like a noob :frown: if you don't have the touch to shoot from the arc, stop it!

A bunch of negative Nancy and Debbie downers in here you guys need to look on the bright side despite all the horrible play bad coaching and selfish play we're only two games out of first place guys

The downside to Clarkson's PG experience last season is how he can handle the ball this season and end up hijacking possessions at a time.

I understand what you mean, but hijacking seems a bit extreme. To be fair to him, a lot of times the rest of the team looked like they had no clue how to create baskets for themselves last night (which is obviously made worse by the horrible system/coaching), so I think he tried to make things happen. He kinda had too... Offensively he's pretty much the only dude capable of getting a good look for himself.

Well, outside of Lou.

You know what would be great.

Randle, Horford & Hibbert as our bigs next year.

I'd like how all of that would fit together.

doesnt mean anything with scott as coach. dude is horrible.

no free agents will come to LA is scott is coach :smh: this team has no damn flow or identity. mda would have this squad ballin. yeah, i said it.

You know things are rough when franc's positive spirit disappears and he starts sounding like the rest of us :frown:

i like the pieces they have but scott should of never been hired. this cot damn team needs a coach that plays them to their strengths. this dude is the guy thats leading this team to the championship. scott. byron. the arms crossing coach. that guy. leading this team somewhere. come on, mane!

Take this for what it's worth but a guy I play ball with who's a lender said that Byron recently purchased property in Manhattan beach

So the guy saw details of Byrons finances when he worked on the loan. Anyways, he said Byrons contract has a clause where the Lakers can terminate his contract after this season if the team doesn't win at least 47 games

Not sure if any of this is true but the guy is generally a stand up type of guy.

Being that I'm in banking, the fact that your friend shared this type of information, then you proceed to share with us, is all types of wrong from a compliance perspective

Wouldn't be surprised at all though.

Watching them live yesterday, really opened my eyes to one thing. Lakers have a good amount of individual pieces.

Hibbert is solid
Lou/Young as much we clown on them they are luxuries to have off the bench
Randle can play
Clarkson is a stud
Kobe can still be protective
Russell, I'm still hoping he gets it together

However, they have to work together much better, I'm pretty sure this a coaching thing, but I dont think it's easy to do.

Regardless I don't want them to tank this year, and watching them yesterday getting handled by the Kings sucked.

Hope they can turn it around and be vert Utah second half like, I miss competitive basketball

Go Lakers!

Yeah, that should be reserved for Kobe. At least he's been :pimp: so far. I wish he would make more plays for others though.

So in other words, we need a good coach

Ohhh that Hercules.

What are you doing there?

I'm on call all weekend so I'm not sure I can head down to the bay tonight man.

Also I do not own a musket.

Nothing, I'm from the city just a nice meeting point.

Usually go to Lakers vs. Warriors games, but prices are outrageous now and warrior fans suck. Thought I'd give Sacramento a shot, never again.
