Huertas had a nice rebound in traffic tonight, don't be surprised if he starts at PF with Clarkson at C with those two blocks #byron

We boutta be 0-2015.

Who we beating?

Portland? Dame dropping 100 on Dlo.

Philly? They stay trying to lose. Maybe we beat them.

Once Byron is gone we're going to play a lot differently I suspect. The next interim coach will allow them to use P&R and maybe show them a thing or two about rotations and defensive sets. That Laker team would be competitive in most games.

the 6ers game will be the ali frazier of terrible basketball

At least he knows lol.

RT @LakersReporter: Kobe summarized his performance generally in the first 3 games, especially his shooting, as, "I freaking suck."

I love y'all assuming Byron will be fired this season or at all, I don't see Jim Buss admitting 3 straight hiring failures. But then again Chaz may advise him to do it

I haven't seen any lakers games this season. Is Kobe really playing that bad???

Well, think we all see what we need to see from Randle. Kid has game.

Clarkson proved it last year.

Just need to get DLo some quality minutes and we can start to grasp what our core can do.

Scott is sorta stuck bench wise, Kelly can't play the 3, and Black/Bass doesn't allow for a lot of spacing.

Just not sure why he can't/won't mix and match the starters and bench better, like Bass playin with Hibbert, or even Kelly with Hibbs.

Black, Nance, Metta getting no burn, at all. Wish like hell Black and Nance could get some PT.

Jim also has high (albeit unrealistic) expectations for this season, so this has to be testing his patience.

Who's the next worse coach in the league? Derek Fisher? He might be the only one who's close to Byron's level of bad. And even that's tough to judge based on his inexperience and that his choice of offense comes from the front office. That's gotta dawn on Mitch and Jim soon, if it hasn't already.

I mean there are still a handful of bad coaches but they all have their redeeming qualities... Byron is way out in front of the pack. Usually there's two or three guys sure to get fired.

It's not really about him playing bad. It's about his poor shot selections. He just keeps forcing those three pointers even with a man in front of him. And some of them are just horrible. Some don't even hit the rim at all!

What's up with Kobe? It's been frequent that he keeps o taking bad long distance shots...why not cut in closer to attack the rim at mid range? Shooting 31% from the field is hilarous for someone who belongs to the best shooting guards in the NBA. At the moment he is no help for his team sadly.

He can't attack the rim and the offense sucks.

Edit:

Is Whiteside too much of a knucklehead to commit a long-term contract to this summer?

I don't like using that term, but uh yeeeah.

If the Lakers are going to commit a lot of money next summer, minus whale commit to a guy in his prime and not on the edge of exiting it.

At what point do you think Lakers just have a bucket of talent that might not fit well with one another?

Clarkson, Kobe (I know some of ya'll hesitant to call him talent at this point), Russell, Lou, and Randle all need the ball in their hands.

4 out of those 5 start...

Especially this offense where it doesn't seem anything comes easy, and its mainly one on one, this looks like a recipe for disaster...

I get what your saying and it's part of the reason I don't see a kd fitting on this team. As far as this season kobe just needs to chill. The whole dynamic of the game changed last nite when randle took over compared to when kobe was forcing shots

Espn stat of the day:

Julius Randle (20 years, 337 days) is the youngest player to go for 18 points, 14 boards and 4 assists since Kobe when he was 21 + 216 days.

Dirk on Randle:

"He's going to be tough in this league. He puts the ball on the floor like no other PF in this league."

"He's strong, he's athletic, he can finish. He's a tough match-up for a lot of 4s in this league."

Pretty sure he's scared of injuring his shoulder again from contact at the rim.
