Of course, it'd be great to have another Top 3 pick.
I just don't see the point of everybody setting themselves up to be pissed for no reason when statistically the odds of keeping it are against us.
So they're going to frustrate each other with every win, and even the best you may get is a 2/3 chance of keeping. At least last year I understood, and was with it because there was a way to 100% guarantee it.
But when you have as many young guys as you have now, you want wins, you want them to play better, you want them to develop, even if Byron wants unicorns.
And there's a handful of teams that if you were to say we'd finish with a better record in April, I'd be unsurprised.
Hope the guys develop, hope it translates into something, hope we get a Cavs special.. Anything else is setting yourself for unnecessary stress.

Just caught up with the last couple of pages... 
Is any of this really that serious? Kobe love him or hate him is a top 5 all time laker. Period.
There are so many reasons why we are terrible right now. At this point it is what it is.
I want us to be better but I know its going to take a lot longer than I want.
Us taking shots at each other isn't going to make it turn around faster.
I have always called Kobe the gift and the curse. My avy has not changed from lair lair since he pulled that I want to be traded BS. But I still know without him, we don't win in 09 and 10. But its time for him to move on. And he will. Watching him become human before our eyes sucks. But we have seen it before. It is what it is.
I'm ready for the new lakers. We will be bad but for now but it will turn around.

Perceptions and Opinions are often misunderstood concepts. People believe that they have the right to perceive things how they want and then from that, form off-scale opinions. But opinions can be wrong. Especially if they are not based in realistic conditions. You say Kobe is the worst thing to ever happen to your team. You say he is not a franchise player. That's nonsensical. Forming an opinion just to have an argument is a lost cause. There's no foundation behind that thought other than your personal feelings. Nothing basketball related could have brought you to those statements.
And if you do feel that way and have so many complaints about Kobe Bryant, give me an alternative reality where we kept Vlade. What then say you..

Only teams that right now we're better than are maybe Philly and Brooklyn. We are one injury away from being the worst team in the league. These next 20 games can give us a leg up on the others though. Silver will give us another chance since he sees we may have goofed after helping us out last year.
