I never got the whole you can't win with his playing style when in fact we have won 5 championships with him

I've lurked an followed this forum for years and it's well known dude doesn't like Kobe which is cool ..but not a franchise player ? I really want to know who meets those qualifications then ..must be only about 5 all time then

Kobe the GLOAT fa sho. I hope the organization lets the fans vote what the statue pose will be. There's a few options. Fade away. the 1 finger 81 pts. triple team 3 pointer. etc.

they should do a bust too. frobe and kobe.

My vote goes to tea bagging Dwight

Not one question.

"Why do you feel like that?"

Nope.

"C'mon, really? How? How can you think that? Genuinely curious. How?"

Nnnope.

So few people try to understand anything.

Not one single question. Not one single attempt to discuss.

Not one person trying to understand.
there are certain things, explanations don't even matter for.

'The sky is looking exceptionally blue today'

'I feel the sky is red'

'....k....I'm gonna go over here now.'

Perceptions and Opinions are often misunderstood concepts. People believe that they have the right to perceive things how they want and then from that, form off-scale opinions. But opinions can be wrong. Especially if they are not based in realistic conditions. You say Kobe is the worst thing to ever happen to your team. You say he is not a franchise player. That's nonsensical. Forming an opinion just to have an argument is a lost cause. There's no foundation behind that thought other than your personal feelings. Nothing basketball related could have brought you to those statements.

And if you do feel that way and have so many complaints about Kobe Bryant, give me an alternative reality where we kept Vlade. What then say you..
You're spot on and way off, simultaneously.

Yes, opinions and perceptions are concepts, which can be misunderstood.

Someone could think the sky is red because they are color blind.

Ask more questions. Or just write them off "I'm going over here now."

Spot on and way off, simultaneously.

And the color of the sky is based on an already existing set of universal data: colors.

What is good for a franchise is not a universal set of data. That's... 'subjective', which is neither right or wrong.

Someone having the opinion that the color of the sky is 'ladder' is wrong, because we have a set of data that is universally agreed upon, and 'ladder' is not a color.

Someone having the opinion about what is good/bad for their franchise is impossible to be correct/incorrect.

Different.

That's the only possibility with subjective matters.

Opinions are neither right or wrong with subjective discussions; they are simply different.

@KBergCBS Byron Scott at Lakers shootaround in Brooklyn: "It's not a challenge getting Kobe right. The challenge is getting our young guys right."
Two of the three youngsters are currently outplaying Kobe though. And the third youngster is just a zero compared to Kobe, who's being outright harmful with his play.

Right, but they'd be wrong. If you're color blind, you have a malfunction. Your perception is wrong. Then everyone else is right. Truth is a constant. It's not independent of the individual. Because you feel kobe was bad for our team, not a franchise player, not a winner, whatever, doesn't make it right as all of those things have already been proven to be true. He won. He was made a franchise player. He had his fingerprints over 5 of our rings.

it's not impossible to be correct in having an opinion if someone is good or bad for a franchise. Do you think Jeter was bad for the Yankees? Do you think Curry is a bad look for the Warriors? Who would say otherwise?

But still, give me an alternative. How would you replace him and have the same production, or better over the same time span.

Not sure if sending him home to be a family man will do the trick but at this point in his career, there is nothing Byron can do to get him right. He didn't start to shoot again until August so I do have confidence that he will get his in game rhythm back. The number of air balls and clanks off the rim it will take for him to get there should continue to bring the luls and tears

kobe needs to go back to practice. he's using the game as his practice court. he'd get his rhythm back faster if he puts more time in in-between games

 opinions can absolutely be wrong especially when there's empirical evidence to refute the crux of the argument.

Unless you have a different definition of what a franchise player is which I think it's universally recognized as a player who is a cornerstone that your team can build around then that's wrong. Why because the Lakers actually did that in 2004 when they let Shaq go and decided to make Kobe that guy. So unless you have another player the team was built around from 04 to 13 that opinion is wrong.

As for the worst thing ever while that's subjective; the simple fact that Byron is our coach right now daily spitting out these stupid quotes and the fact that we've had countless other bums don the uniform lately as well as management mishaps would lean towards being inaccurate as well.

Way tooooooooooo early to think about keeping our pick, I think there is a way better shot of this team turning it around and playing well as apposed to use getting a top 3 pick.

Kobe will turn it around, we just need Russell to play better and hit some shots.

Lakers win today in a blow out, 134-111, BOOK IT!

Go Lakers!

Why would Anyone engage in an opinion that doesn't make any sense Point Blank.

Kobe the guy who's not a franchise player, has been integral in the franchise having 5 rings, & 7 appearances in the finals. the largest winning percentage (spurs might actually be higher) durin his tenure. Nothing but success why the hell would anyone want to hear any reasoning on something that is COMPLETELY wrong.

Thank you. Now he wants everybody to ask him why he feels that way. For what?

Why would you want to hear reasoning from such an outlandish statement. I get It you might not like Kobe but to act like he isn't a franchise player after all the success in a Lakers uniform. Unreal

on the topic of worst thing to ever happen to our franchise. I have 2 things tied at the top. Magic getting HIV and the cp3 trade getting vetoed :frown:
