Randle is just raw as all heck right now but when he puts it all together in a couple years he is going to be the goods. Kid's got a unique special skill set can't wait to watch him grow.

Kobes shot was SO off last year, especially from deep

His 3 ball looks better so far

I was hoping kobe's bricks were from the shoulder injury in preseason. He looked fluid and was getting open looks last year, just couldn't make anything. So far he's been solid this preseason

Upshaw showing that he really is a project and belongs in the NBDL mostly this season.

Missing most of the college season (his fault) and being shut down for most of the time between April to NBA draft (precaution, not his fault) really hurt him.

Made him way out of condition. But there's a few things that are really likable from what we see.

Is that statement based on the anthony bennett facial? Shot blockers get dunked on, it's a fact of life

I'm the biggest Upshaw fan here. That Bennett play and a few others. He's a couple steps slow and his timing to step up and contest the shot is all off.

Missed way too much basketball time.

Nope.

Even during pre draft workouts.

Everyone knew he had a very limited offensive game and has zero post up moves in the paint.

All his potential is his obvious natural shot blocking ability is there and he has size.

But he still needs to hit the gym and put on a couple pounds of muscle on him.

That was actually directed at Mr j. But to your point e I would say his heart condition was his fault. I've never done coke but gotten contact before, ish makes your heart rate jump like a kangaroo.

And I'm encouraged by all 3 preseason games, I wouldn't really consider them losses. We're not gonna see sacre or jabari in crunch time during the 4th of the regular season. Granted they could still lose but starters v starters the lakers have impressed

Here's how I view the roster right now

Safe (all are locks, but most locked to least)

Kobe
Randle
Russell
Clarkson
Hibbert
Lou Will
Bass
Swaggy
Nance (Used a 1st on him... Therefore has a guaranteed contract)
Black
MWP

Fighting for the last 4 spots, most likely to least likely:
Huertas
Anthony Brown
Sacre
Kelly
Upshaw (unfortunately. More trust in Sacre and Guaranteed contract of Kelly probably gets him in)

Already cut but likely on DFenders

J. Brown
Holmes
Fraizer

Also I don't think we make the playoffs even in best case scenario, but a couple additions and we really have the opportunity next season.

I think Clarkson needs to have more time at the 1 than the 2. Unfortunately no great 2G that makes it work.

That's something I really can't read. I think Frazier and brown(jabari) are gone. Also sacre, they've squeezed all the juice outta him and he really shouldn't have been drafted. I think the lakers are really high on holmes and want to see what he has for at least a year or two. Same thing with brown and to a lesser extent huertas. I first thought mwp was a sure cut but he brings so many intangibles it's hard to let him go. He'll be with the team in some capacity. It's between him and kelly who they are still playing out of position

I can't stand Kelly and Sacre, I would cut them both along with Frazier and Holmes

*flame suit activated*. I like Jabari's upside, he's young , tough and a good scorer. He's strong and athletic with long arms that can make him a good defender. The dude put up 30 pts in an NBA game with very limited experience. He turns it over and takes bad shots, but so do a lot of young players

I want to trade Young before the season, he's horrible
