Where's the donnie baseball "resign before youre fired/mutual parting" option? That's my guess.
"Screw this..id rather sit next to maggio on the TW sofa or accept a courtesy FO position" before being canned and humiliated.(and before FO looks like jerks for firing one of their own family members)

New Poll is Up.

I remembered we all wanted Dante Exum, how has his career played out so far? Would he be a better with with us if the jazz were not to picked him up?

keep losing, get the number 1 pick. Have the bird rights to Clarkson, DLo, Julius, and Ben Simmons

BUT DRAFT BEN SIMMONS.... The hell with working out anybody else

People keep saying look at other guards, hell look at the guard from last year's draft thats on the team

The issues with this kid for the most part are physical. Lack of end to end speed, lack of quickness sideline to sideline, slow first step... From a position stand point i think his inefficiency has to do with him playing the PG. I think clarkson his more of an attacking PG and DLo is more of a play making off guard. I think moving him to the 2 will close the gap on a lot of the issues that cause him to struggle at the one, particularly defensively.

I'm saying. As long as they don't draft another come outta nowhere guy I'm good. Ben, Skal, or Ingram are good.

Yea and look at how clarkson was in November last year. Now he's looking like the best guard in his class and he's also very efficient which I don't think is a coincidence

Come outta nowhere guy........good God mamba the poster is getting worse than mamba the player. :smh:

Come outta nowhere.

D'lo had 2 good workouts, a helllll of a college season, consensus top 3 pick....

come out of nowhere tho.

What he a top 3 or even top 5 prospect before the college season started last year?

So you expect someone who's a top three college player to stay multiple years in college before entering the draft?

 his favorite God damn player was never heard of before he worked out for Jerry West but he's complaining about a guy we followed all year in his own team thread.

Good Lord mamba.

That wasnt the question, he wasn't even a top 10 prospect coming into college by almost all the prognosticators and somehow end up top 3 off a good season and a couple workouts.

We also didn't have a top pick 3 that year. Different time back then than now, but one thing is condistent you miss at the top of the draft it'll set you back for years. I was following D'Lo and said he was overrated last year because the competition he was up against in the Big 10 and didn't see what the hype was about *shrugs*

Dude, come on, put the cookie sheet down and accept the L. Don't go out like this, please.

CP stop adressing me please, you aren't the grand czar of this thread. Rivals, ESPN, Yahoo, none of them had D'Angelo in the top 10 going into last year's college season. The highest he was at number 13 in ESPN. So yeah for him to parlay a good season and a few workouts into being #2 is coming out of nowhere. Especially with all the deficiencies he displayed while on the college level.

It'd be akin to keeping our pick this year and not taking Skal, Ben, Jaylen, or Ingram and getting enamored with some other guy cause he has a surprise good year. I'm not down with that.

Russell was Top 5 in January. And Top 3 for months. There was plenty written about him for months.

He didn't just show up out of nowhere. He was there for months.

Also 13 is a lottery pick. I'll remind you of Cliff Alexander went from # 6 to undrafted.

All this negativity around Dlo is very alarming
And basketball analysts , former coaches and players are talking about it on radio and tv as well

The skill set he's displayed thus far is not impressive and the lack of speed and ability to get by a defender and want to attack the basket isn't something that extra gym time will help

It sucks that we're in this position, I really hope he improves drastically

He moved up based on the season he was having and the numbers he was putting up. He was not in it to begin the season with Jah, KAT, Mudiay, Winslow, Johnson, etc. Do y'all even read.

You can also take risks at 13 that you can't at 2, just on expectations alone. So y'all really would be on in taking somebody who's outside of the consensus top 4 players in pretty much everything (Skal, Ben, Jaylen, Ingram) for another guy?

I get what Mamba is getting at but at the same time you don't want to think in such black and white terms. To his credit, generally speaking, factually is Mamba wrong?

For CP and Essential, can you give examples that contradict Mamba's line of thought? Best ones off the top for me are Westbrook, Dame, Paul George, Harden, Steph. Of course none of these guys were one and dones but they weren't the top of the HS ranks and made teams pay for not drafting them earlier. But in general I can't think of a ton of examples proving him wrong

I've already seen a few games where Scott has blown a game. I can't think of a single current NBA coach I want less than Scott.

Derek Fisher isn't far behind Byron.

just read the last few pages...most of y'all need to chill. Byron's offense & tendencies are holding back Russell but damn give him more than 3 weeks to prove himself. he obviously has his flaws, like every rookie does, so give him time to develop & learn the NBA game.

also, i don't know why Byron is prioritizing trying to win games with his vets instead of player development. his team is in no position to contend for the playoffs, throw the young guys out there & let them learn the game by actually playing it instead of having them learn from watching others play it.
