I do wonder how vehemently these guys would be defended if they were on other squads seeing as how some of the other rookies are getting bashed. I'm just from now on going to take the wait and see approach with all these guys because it's very possible that the homer goggles are clouding some of our judgments and wanting to be right or not *shrugs*

I playoff team could use Lou Will:

Bulls, Raptors, Wiz, Knicks ALL need bench scoring

Nick Young:

Maybe someone is stupid enough, Wiz?

Bass should be easy and Hibbert might be pretty damn hard to get rid of
I think it's a good chance it's the 81 points pose of him waking off the court.
My pick.
Magic and Kareem rolling in their graves. Not 1 single post during the entire game?

Yikes.

I don't blame y'all but I just found it shocking.

Anyways, I know we're down by 16 and we're going to lose but for some weird reason I'm still proud of how hard they're playing especially defensively. They're just clearly outmatched talent wise, but at least they're giving it their all.
I was busy dying yesterday :frown:

Stomach virus. Threw up all day. Hot/cold shivers. Not good.

Man up.

So the NBA thread said Dlo is being included in trade talks.

Can't be true, right?

If so, methinks Scott's staying AWHILE, folks. :\

If it's not coming from the local beat reporters (Bresnahan, Ding, etc)) or trusty national reporters (Woj, Stein, etc.), then I won't take it seriously.

Really hoping for a 15 game losing streak heading into the all star break

Minnesota at home will be a 50-50 game

any word if Kobe will play tonight?

friend has a couple tickets.

Current losing streak is going to end either against the Hornets on Sunday or T'Wolves next Tuesday.

You should go anyways even if Kobe isn't playing tonight.

Especially if your friend is hooking it up with a free ticket or can get you the ticket below face value.

Report: Lakers shopping Hibbert, Bass, Young, Williams http://www.thescore.com/news/947905 (via http://thesco.re/theScore_App)

Makes sense.

Hibbert is an expiring contract with $15 million coming off the books.Bass has a player option and will most likely opt out after this year.

Lou Williams and Nick Young have decent short term contracts.

Good luck though trying to unload any of these players without other teams wanting the Lakers to take back other teams bad contracts.

Randle is gradually starting to understand how to play basketball. He's been showing a better sense of timing, space and angles in the past few weeks. Not just finishing with the right but actually hitting some pretty tough shots with both hands. The jumper is coming along and before last nite he hit one in 3 straight games. You have to use your imagination but he's shown flashes of the player he can be once he puts everything together.

I thought he would be a more willing passer, but otherwise he's about what I expected so far.

Ireland is now talking about how lakers should trade Clarkson and DLO for Gordon Hayward and trey Burke

DLo 20
Clarkson 24
Ingram 19/ Brown 24
Randle 22/Nance 24/Kelly 25
Black 25/Sacre 27

This is what we could be lookin at next year in terms of youth. (Sacre and Kelly obviously the easiest to cut loose if the need arises) (ages as of next year)

Also could have Upshaw factored in somewhere, but no guarantee.

Then have to hope they can stretch 60~ mil or so out over 3 guys. 25/25/10, or 25/20/15, or 20/20/20 whatever.

But, that includes getting out from under Lou, Nick, and Bass. Hope Mitch can convince a contender or two to part with a 2nd round pick in 2025 or something to take them on and not send anything back at us.
