I'm more upset with byron not giving Dlo the chance to learn and get better more than I'm mad at Dlo. Hell how was westbrooks first year? I know Dlo has the ability but this dummy of a coach is just hurting him.
Well SKA is happy it wasn't Kobe
Not at all.

- we lost
- Kobe still came out chucking. Chucking in the first 3 quarters will affect the 4th quarter even if that person stops in the 4th. Basically, they all have to learn to find a rhythm every night despite Kobe, not with Kobe.

If tonight is any indication, Kobe & Byron both are going to be a problem with the development of our young dudes.

If tonight was just one game and things are way different 50 games from now or 2 seasons from now, awesome.

I've always been against Ska and his Kobe criticisms. However after 20 years, and him being completely washed now, I see how much of a hinderance he really is. I mean he literally is just coming down the floor and chucking.

This isn't new, he's been doing this for 20 years, the shots just normally go in 42% of the time

But maybe I'm getting older, maybe I'm appreciating passing basketball, maybe I'm the jealous of the Spurs, Warriors, etc. maybe it's all of those things, but goddamnit he ruins any opportunity for rhythm.

It's been awesome to see him over 20 years and I'm grateful for 5 rings and countless memories, but he needs to hang em up after this year.

Randle needs the ball in the post sometimes and Clarkston needs room to create.

Kobe should only get select minutes to play kinda a Lou Williams role, just score but off screens and off others creation.

Russell, I don't know....

I do know Randle can score 20+ a game if he slows down a notch and gets the ball in the post.

Russ showed signs but mainly he was able to at least run the position of PG.

Jordan is next man... That's why I'm so disappointed in the way Kobe played last night. Good looks or not, they weren't falling. Clarkson came out strong out the gate then I watched Kobe shots balloon to 7, then 12, then 16 then came that 0-7 stretch like E mentioned.... It's other ways to impact the game and be effective besides throwing up shots. I don't want to here that I can't trust these guys to score stuff this season. This roster has scorers on it.

Which leads me to this.... I need Kobe on the floor with Marcelo more. Someone who's going get him in a positions to make better decisions with the ball. I do feel with the young boys at the 1 Kobe kinda takes advantage of that and demands his looks. I need 6ix to come down and wave Kobe off one time so that I know he has that killer instinct

Clarkson actually did do that one possession in the fourth. I think it was the possession where he missed the second FT that would have ended up tying the game.

I wish some of you would pay more attention to the positives.

Kobe and Byron, or not, we got talent that's going to develop into something good over the next few seasons.

We can't do anything about Kobe and Byron right now, it is what it is.

Either way we ain't winnin more than 29 games this year max. So stop worrying about the L and enjoy the flashes of greatness we saw in our young talent.

Kobe chucking does **** up the rhythm and development but either way, these kids are growing out there one way or another.

who cares we lost man, we ain't a playoff team  Byron won't be our coach long term, and Kobe's hanging them up in a year (or 2) max. Just look forward to the positives man.

randle looked good last night, love how he isnt scared of anyone

clarkson was solid too

now that we have lou williams nick young needs to be shipped to china

I enjoyed Randle's play but he needs to develop his right hand. I can't count the amount of times he drives aggressively to the hoop only to stop under the rim and force some kind of shot in

I'm encouraged that they almost won despite Kobe and Byron.

Russell is still the future. All of his warts are showing right now without really having a chance to showcase his strengths. Hopefully he uses this to work on his weaknesses (driving more and drawing fouls) and doesn't let it affect his confidence.

Kobe has to chill. I see your breakdown Essential, but even if some of those were good shots there's now way he should be shooting 24 times at his age and witht he offensive talent on this team.

We have 3 dribble-heavy CHUNKERS on the team.

Im struggling to see how JC and D'Lo are able to get any consistent offensive rhythm every night.... add that to the fact that we're dumping it in to Roy expletive Hibbert 10-12 wasted possessions a night.

JR is also dribble-heavy. He's a bull but good teams will sag and he'll struggle...why can't we get him in that pinch-post back to basket and let him work?

We're in dire need of a player like Demarre Carroll its not even funny. 3 and D ftw

On the Kobe front, I'm just glad he's lowered his chucking down a few gears from last year. I think saying he should hold back for the rookies is a moot point - I think this is him holding back

Byron though. He played Dlo as the off guard BY DESIGN. That's setting him up to fail and he's not going to learn anything either.

I don't think we're necessarily stuck with Byron. Coaches can go at any time and if he keeps having games like this, the chances go up of it happening.

Jim did say he expects to make the playoffs this year... from his POV he might make a rash coaching fire when things go wrong.
