The Lakers are going to be like 64 games into the season and Byron will still be saying that he's not worried Kobe is shooting 34% from the field and 22% from three.

Man y'all super late.

Swaggys always been about fax and nothin but fax

This.

Hope swaggy is a laker for life...

I'm never pro tank... But Byron ain't **** and empowers Kobe to do whatever the hell he wants so we Midas well just keep him and hope the ping pong balls bless us with a top 3

I think another reason why Kobe might be taking so many jumpers is so he can stay healthy. He knows that if he stays on the perimeter he'll stay out of harms way for the most part. He really wants to play the entire season. And will continue to shoot bad jumpers. I was thinking by Jan/Feb that Byron would be fired and Kobe would have his annual season ending injury then we can watch the kids play. But we might be stuck with these 2 fools for the whole year.

You can tell there is a rift being created between DLo & Byron. You can totally tell if you read between the lines of their respective quotes.
Almost all of Dlo's quotes are the exact opposite of anything Byron says. And he is looking so dejected. So is Clarkson and Randle. Its the same thing that happens to all of Byrons teams

Trust me guys it wont be long....we most likely have to wait until seasons end until he is outta here. Unless the bottom falls out before the season ends and it def looks like it might be headed towards that.
And by bottom falling out I mean locker room drama. These next 20 games can turn real ugly in the locker room I will predict. Thats the only thing I fear out of all of this player distrust and locker room chaos due to Byrons ineptitude.

At this point I'd be content with our season if Russell squares up on Byron next time he subs him after 4 minutes for Lou

How Russel puts up beautiful numbers statistically wise and then only plays 25 min, without any minutes in the 4th just baffles me. He is a 19 yr old #2 pick.

The boy put up 4/8 shooting, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover!!!.....what does he have against that man??why only play him 25 min and none in the 4th?!!! Just because they were down 30?! They lost this game last week and everyone knew it. Why sit all the starters the whole 4th quarter just to give Muertes or whoever more time? or Ryan Kelly??! He should have played DLo, Randle, Clarkson, Nance & Black the whole **** quarter.

Goddamn it's not even December and we're looking forward to April 14

I waited all summer for Laker basketball, and Byron managed to make me disinterested 10 games in

Unless I'm misunderstanding, Mike Bresnehan is saying that the 'youthful promise' of our young guys is fading for him.

Get rid of Byron's incompetence, and the promise will shine. Not liking what I'm seeing from Randle lately though.

Kobe with 4 pts by shooting 1 of 14...can it get even worse?
Somehow i wished he retired last season. Not only is he not worthy to be the go to guy in the team anymore but his shot selection just kills the own team.
Too many long distance shots are forced. Instead of using screenings he just does a lot if fadeaways and the ball is not even close to go inside the rim :frown:

He has no legs. Russell was brought in to help create shots and he can't do that. Bryant is doing what his body allows him, but because he's coming off of the rotator cuff surgery and is losing his lift, he doesn't have the strength to shoot from distance. All in all, he's in a lose-lose position.

It seems Kobe has gone the opposite route of what I'd want him to do. He's starting to show signs of defensiveness with his post game comments and I think this is going to lead to him either taking more shots or not taking any and souring the locker room worse than it is. And since Byron supports Kobe first before the team's needs it's going to get ugly. When Nick ****ing Young is going to the media and saying there needs to be more ball distribution there is a problem.

With that said, seeing these cracks appear now is good. The team can present a case collectively to Mitch and the FO about what is happening. There's no way he's travelling with the team for the sake of doing so on these road trips, he's trying to see their interaction live and determine where the root problem is. And I'm sure he already knows, but knowing is half the battle. Demonstrating that you've gone through the motions to show you're investigating says a lot.

I'll be truly interested in how MItch approaches the trade deadline for a change.

He HAS to know they ain't **** by now. He can't possibly care about "winning" this year as they claimed they did.

So, knowing he has a slim chance at that Top 3, but he's already in a good position to go for it, will he finally sell at the deadline and try to max this chance out? Or will he do nothing, risk it, and give the 76ers the 4th pick in the draft, setting us back even further going forward?

Curious to see how he moves.

nick young is a clown. dude has 0 assists in 10/14 games this season.

If we are relying on Young to get assists, were in bigger trouble than I thought

Everything starts and ends with a corpse leading the team in shot attempts. It demoralizes the team and nobody cares about defense when one guy is selfish on offense.

Nobody plays hard when the ball is not shared
