Do you guys think we need a mascot now that the Clippers have one?

Or a giraffe kinda like Jefferey the ToysRUs giraffe?

nah, we got the laker girls

dont need no "larry the laker" running around

We all know it was against the Nets and it's just ONE game however, should still be appreciated. See a lot of ppl overall hating (social media). First Take is doing a segment on D'Lo today.

Problem is we've done this same damn song and dance after every good and great game he's had.

"It's one game."
"It's versus so and so."

At some point it's just being stubborn for stubbornness sake.

Stubborn or realistic? I came off the bust ledge a while ago, kid can play, but also not going to go overboard after a performance against the hapless Nets and be like he's a bona-fide superstar.

After every single decent not even good performance it's been give him the keys, see he's a star, I'm like are we watching the same game? He's been more consistent with his shot lately sure, still not finding people as consistently, still lapses with laziness and silly passes (see what should have been a 8 sec violation), and his defense is still atrocious.

I have removed him from the trade bubble though, he should be safe...see progress. As for Clarkson and Randle, one or both is going to get dealt if we keep the pick.

It's not really hate.
I may not agree with Mamba on every point about Russ but he's right about some things

Just because he had a good shooting night doesn't mean he doesn't have a lot of work left to do to grow into a consistently great point guard.

He's just being objective

Buying Laker tickets is so hard not knowing of Kobe is gonna be playing or not :\

Just wait until the day of. Although sometimes they literally don't announce it until a few hours before which is problematic.

Yeah, I think that's gonna be the move.
What I'm dealing with also! Ugh!
I'm thinking he'll def go to the Knicks game. I wanna buy tix for the Wizards game but I'm not sure if he'll show up

Yea I was trying to go to last night's game but decided not to once Kobe was ruled out.

Then Russell drops 39pts

My friend dropped $300 back in November for the Grizz game last week only to see the Lakers get blown out without Kobe

Booked my flight and purchased tickets against Utah at the end of March. Hopefully Bean is healthy enough to play but I do believe he will do everything in his power to give it a go.

Utah is a key place for him. Actually in a sense, is the place that shaped him into the player he is today (4 air balls in playoffs at Utah his rookie season).

Wonder what the pre game tribute is gonna be like.

It's not objective when proclaiming bust in November.

It's not objective writing off an entire draft class 3 months before they're even drafted. (Minus 2 players)

Objective would be The kid's 19, let's see him work and grow and 2-3 years from now he'll be a blossoming Star hopefully.
Then yeah, sucks if we drop to 3, but Jaylen has some upside and has progressed a lot as a Freshman, maybe he'd fit in nicely next to DLo/Clarkson/Randle core and with work he might grow into a decent piece as well.

No one was hyping Kawhi in March before he was drafted, he seems to have worked out quite well.

Judging players LONG before even playing is not "objective".

There's a reason people keep going at the topic. It's not because they think these single games his rookie season= hall of fame.

The people who claim D'LO is gonna be the next big thing can be just as annoying as the people who claim he's a bust.

Let's just watch him play and hopefully get better.

There's a reason why some of us go overboard on hyping Russell...

Warriors this season: 54 wins
Lakers since 2013? 57 wins

we just looking for that light at the end of the tunnell

Being optimistic and hopefully is not the same as constantly bringing up how people thought he would be a bust and laughing at them and praising him after each great game.

The man is playing well, but like many have pointed out he's far from a complete project, if anything, and this is great, he has a lot he can learn.

I believe I said I didn't want them to draft another project, which is what anyone outside of Simmons or Ingram would be. I want to get a KAT type instant impact guy because even the ones who are slurping D'Lo to no end have conceded he's 3 or 4 years away from what we hope he will become. It's why I've been beating the drum if we get 3 trade for a Nerlens type.

Thing is, teams like the nets, wolves etc are this team’s peers. So when players go off against them or other teams whether it be a loss or not it shows promise that they are competing at a high level. It's kind of how scouting/prospecting is supposed to work.
