NFL Week 4 In Review...

Hot Take time:

Megatron has always been overrated. Certain people on here have hyped him as the GOAT since Georgia Tech and he has all the tools, build skill you could ever want, just doesn't have that it factor that certain greats (Fitz, Jerry, TO) had. I know teams win games and not individual players, not even QB's but I just never see that extra gear with that guy. Maybe than's penalizing him for making everything look so easy but just my two cents.

Didn't know you could have a 300 yard receiving game without having "it". All you need is to check his stats to see that he stacks up well against some all time greats. That's with him being the number 1 option on a bad squad for most of his career as well,he might not be the GOAT but he's aguably the best of his generation imo.

He's a Hall of Famer...As I said. He's arguably the most complete reciever ever toolset wise. With that being said, if I need a WR for one game, I'm not sure he's in my top 5 of guys that I would pick.

This isn't a response to him being bad, it's a response to the people that hyped him as the GOAT before he set foot on an NFL football field (there were those people).

Honestly, outside of Jerry Rice...you can lump Calvin Johnson in with any other WR that you'd consider #2. He's right there, IMO, with T.O., Fitzgerald, Moss, etc. Just not on the same level as Rice.

Not to mention that Johnson just turned 30...still a long way to go in his career. Don't know if he'll ever eclipse 150+ TDs, but he'll be up there, and possibly finish #2 in career yards.

I'll admit that during his unstoppable stretch a few years back, I did believe that he could maybe wind up as the GOAT when it was all said and done but injuries slowed him down a lot. Now it looks a lot less likely obviously but he'd probably still be in my top 5.

Put him on the pats or green bay and we'll see all that lost a stepped crap cut out

I agree. I remember people were saying the same about Randy Moss.

Its kinda scary if you think about it that Megatron would probably be the GOAT if he had a competent QB and squad.

This is all but and what if's though

Is it crazy to state that the QB position hasnt caught up with the other positions in terms of talent. So many great offensive players with below to ****** QB's. And the game is designed to prtoect these QB's.

Any insight would be appreciated.

What's everyones take on the Detroit ending?

I live and work in the Detroit area, and Im hearing all kinds of excuses. My coworker pulled up a rule on his phone that its illegal to punch the ball...i about lost it.

The pushing the ball out the endzone is a judgement call, but to me, the Seahawks made the play to win the game, to have it given to the lions on that b s unheard of call seems silly.

But just wanna know what yall think?

Considering Pete Carroll even said that Wright broke the rules and knocked it out of bounds, there's really nothing else that needs to be said.

Crying no tears.

I mean KJ could have just fallen on the ball just as easily, both the action and the no call were a result of no one knowing what the rule was.

Plus we won

^Detroit fans. That loss put the nail in the coffin for their season.
