I always wondered how people can carry knives and not trip about getting caught with it. My cousin is engaged to a guy from Missouri and he has a hug knife on him all the time like it's no big deal. He normally just uses it for a bottle opener though.
Get caught for what? While there's various laws restricting certain opening mechanisms, it's pretty much legal to carry a knife in most of the country.
I didn't know that. So say you are carrying a knife and someone on the streets comes at you and you pull it out, can you be the one in trouble since you are using it as a weapon or do you just claim self defense or something? I actually want to carry a knife cause it gets a little sketch in SF sometimes but I don't want to catch an extra charge just cause I think someone is trying to jack me and I take a stab at them.
CA has certain laws regarding carrying a knife. I was reading about carrying a blade the other day but I can't remember completely. I believe it either has to be a folding knife without any assisted opening mechanism (like a switchblade/spring loaded) or you can carry a fixed blade in a sheath visibly on the outside of your clothing. I always have a pocket knife in my car but that's mostly for utility rather than self-defense. Also there's certain limits such as the length of the blade depending where you go (like school/court house etc), but you obviously don't want to have any weapons on you when you go to those type of places lol.
the law is < 3 inchesThink I've heard blade has to be smaller than half your palm maybe I'm wrongCA has certain laws regarding carrying a knife. I think the length of the blade matters in some states.
every state has different laws but none really enforced.
Ny for example...only us citizens are supposed 2 have knives.
But look at all the cooks.
I carry a lil buck knife on me tho

Why are dudes carrying so much crap nowadays?
Like, do you need all these accessories?
Be functional. Carry your wallet, your phone, your keys, and a single paper towel sheet if you don't got a handkerchief.
Sons are carrying knives and paracord and south american bracelts and tamagochi's and a flint and some matches and blah blah...like wtf you going to war?
