Where my Detroit playas at? I'll be there next weekend

As long as you stay away from the inner city spots its all gravvvy...... Oh yea, No gas stations past 9pm bro!! Just don't do it.... :x

Ima tell you now, dont get gas in the city at all.

Physically not worth it.

That's a little ridiculous. If you stay away from sketchy areas at night and don't look like a walking lick, you'll be fine.

If you feel nervous just go to Oak Park to fill up. Literally right next to Detroit. Shoutout to Geneva St, down from the Scotia Stop. RIP Grinderz :smh:

Funny enough, I filled up in the city.. empty, desolate gas station.. right off the hwy.  Prob irony, but as soon as I pulled up, two raggedy looking cats came out from behind the station, and kinda "walked through". They didnt make eye contact, or look like they wanted to make a move though; Just stay aware.  When I rented the car from the airport, the service workers were telling my shortie and I some of the stunts the stickup boys try and pullout there.  Boxing you in at a light and some other ish.

I think the "9pm" thing, has to do with how dark it is at night.. there are literally like 5 street lights on a given block. And get the rental insurance if youre copping a whip

Car jacking really been making a comeback, but you're probably not gonna get jacked at a station during the day because of the cameras - it'll be at a stop sign in a residential area or a stop light at night. The most common tactic outside of just running up is having someone rear end you and then they/someone else runs up after you stop the car. If you notice a clunker tailgating you, SWERVE. If you stay around the more busy parts of the city there's virtually a 0% chance of that happening though.

And yeah, there aren't many street lights, especially if you wander around Livernois and Grand River Ave. Entire streets with burnt out or destroyed lights. Stay away from Grand River

Downtown Detroit ain't dangerous at all. Be cool and people are cool and friendly wth you.

Now step outside into west side Detroit some other areas... Then good luck especially after dark.

Surprised someone called mgm and greetown ratchet. Motor city is the worst of the three

Nt'ers are so damn scary. Just use common sense and maneuver wherever you please.

Pretty much this for the most part

But there are areas where you shouldn't go in the first place

Well yeah. But those are places a tourist most likely will never see.

That's like someone making a mpls thread and me saying stay out of north mpls rip rip rip. No damn tourist is even going to know that area exists. People blow everything out of proportion.

the people.. were SUPER nice.. very cool, friendly folks. This is dead on.  I mentioned mgm and greek as ratchet, because thats what we saw.. Greek had broads w/the a-zz and titz out(sloppy, not sexy), young heads trying to sneak in; MGM had a gang of cats rolllin in supedup chargers, mobbedup, driving up and down the parking lot, loudazz music in the casino.  Motorcity was just maaad chill. Nice looking chicks(not a lot though), relaxed atmosphere.  And yeahhh the Coney Island thing threw me.. im from Coney and these restaurant are all OVER the place out there, w/zero affiliation evidently.
