Ironically just got back on Monday. Was there from Fri-Mon; Had fun actually. Was in town for a wedding. Stayed at the Motorcity Casino. Spot was pretty dope. Hit the museums, the chicken and waffle spot. Hopped over to Windsor. Gambled my *** off at Motorcity, Mgm and Greek. The latter two are kinda ratchet.
Thing is, the city looked like I am legend. Literally was dead. im talking NOONE on the streets. There were a few heads outside in greek town and the casinos were poppin. But the **** was kinda unnerving. The danger/violence also seems to be overblown in downtown Detroit. Its actually a pretty nice looking city(aside from the abandonment and run down homes/businesses in some areas. We also chilled in Grosse Pointe, super nice area outside Detroit. Idk, my shortie and I had fun. Ye shrug

Visit 12 Oaks while you're there. Stay away from Greenfield Plaza and the whole East side. The Royal Oak area is nice as well, only a few minutes away from Detroit proper.
Also, there are a lot of dispensaries in the 8 Mile area now.

Also gotta keep in mind how huge Detroit is. A lot of people don't realize that it's bigger than Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and a lot of other major metro areas in terms of square mileage. At one point had a population of nearly 2 million in the city alone, so it was built to support all of those people. The population is now somewhere between 700K-650K.

Man, you will have some fun down here. Now I am not saying we are the best/safest place in the world but downtown is not a war zone like people think. Media over-rates things.
Casinos are cool, there are plenty of bars downtown to hit up. Level 2 bar is a great one, depends on what you are looking for down here bro.
Royal Oak area about 15min outside of Detroit is Slapping on the weekends and they are always out!!!!!!!
As long as you stay away from the inner city spots its all gravvvy...... Oh yea, No gas stations past 9pm bro!! Just don't do it.... :x
