Sup NT.

Recently i have sold a DS pair of Jordan Retro 5 Quai 54 to a buyer via paypal. Everything went smoothly until the status of the shipment is delivered.
Suddenly he said that my pair is FAKE. And for what reason? BOTH PAIRS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

Well, thats new.. :smh:

And this is what the buyer wrote on the paypal claim :
I did comparison of the sneakers sent to a real pair and they are different also the left and right pair that I have in my possession atm are a bit off from each other also the sneakers were very wrinkled and a bit dirty on the bottom for it to be brand new.

:smh::smh::smh:

Im 100% sure that mine are LEGIT since I copped them back in 2011 from Nike EU before the so called 'replicas' were out.
These are the hires pics i provided in my listing, and that is the condition of the shoes when i shipped them out.
Im afraid I can not provide any other pics since I dont have the shoes in my possession anymore.

You need more detailed pix of the shoes man..Its hard to judge without box pix, close ups of logos etc.

Ive only seen a few legit pairs over the years and i believe they are ok..However one thing i am noticing is that it looks as though the midsole flames are too speckled. I do know thats a tell on the fakes, but usually those same fakes have the wrong green and yours looks ok..Not sure what to make of that.. I believe they may be ok.

Legit pair.

Thank you TIMMYBRIXXX. And yes, sadly i can not provide any additional pics :frown:
It would be a lot easier to LC if i could.

As for the speckles on the midsole flames, here are the closeups of the left and right pair.

I believe the amount of speckles will vary for each pair, even on the legit ones. What do u think? I hope the closeup pics would help.

Thanks.

Sir,

I hate that this had to happen to you. Unfortunately, dealing with PayPal, is a pain nonetheless. They will refund him whatever costs he accrued buying the shoes from you, you will owe paypal the costs, and PayPal WONT require him to send the shoes back to you. Respond to the PayPal claim ASAP with facts, and hope things work out in your favor.

I advise anyone who sells shoes, to NEVER USE PAYPAL. It's too easy to get scammed by any crooked buyer. Like Al, over at *cough* osneaker.com *cough*

I have responded to the dispute as soon as Paypal sent me the notification email. I refused to do a refund and asked for a proof that my shoes is fake. It has been a few days and the buyer has not responded yet.
Currently the money is being held by Paypal until this issue is resolved. Lets see how this mess turns out.

Dude I tried on the left foot and the cage/net came undone I have pairs that are way older than this and that would never happen. You really think Nike would sell pairs of that quality. The leather came way too wrinkled the smell is very cheap on the entire shoe the inner cushion throughout the entire sneaker is really padded. The bottoms are totally different both jump mans aren't angle right at all on the bottom also the Jordan spelled on the bottom are different. I am totally for a refund and I will gladly send this back to you you have my word.

Hello there. Finally u are here.

OK let me address the issues one by one.

1. Wrinkled Leather.
Quai 5s are known for the superb leather quality. The leather is really soft and tumbled. So sometimes it does come like 'wrinkled' as u say, even though its brand new.

2. 'Cheap' smell.
Honestly i dont know what a 'cheap' smell of a shoe means. Usually fakes come with a strong glue smell.

3. Ankle Colar.
Yes its padded. But as you can see the shape/curve of the collar is smooth and fine. Not jacked or even crooked.

4. Jumpman logo on the outsole.
Please see the pics below as reference. Notice the shape/angle of the jumpman between the left and right pair. They are not the same in terms of position/angle. My pair matches both pics.

5. Damage on the side netting.
I do not know what happened and how u tried them on. I shipped my shoes in a pristine condition. Yes, there is a slight yellowing on the netting because of age(from 2011) and I too have already mentioned that in my listing.

Now could you take a pic of the sizetag and post them here. Thank you.

Now the jumpman logo on the tongue. Again, I posted pics of legit pairs for reference.

Again, you can compare the shape/stitching of the jumpman and the 'tunnel' outside the jumpman.
Heck you can even see the thicker upper right arm of the jumpman are all the same.

Also notice how soft and tumbled the leather is on the 1st pic. Legit Quai 5s are all like that.

what did you sell them for $... Let me know if you get them back. I might take them off your hands,

Also I bought some fake royals a year or so ago through paypal. got my money back and paypal told me the seller wanted the shoes back once he had them they would refund the money. I sent them (cause I don't want fake shoes) got my money and all is good.

I have never had a problem with paypal only crooked people.

The shoes pictured above are Legit..There are definitely HQ fakes of these though.. That fake pair you're showing as "proof" is a $50 fake, not the $200 fakes most people think are legit..All the pieces add up here IMO though..They dont have the major tells for the fake pairs.

I would NOT refund this purchase based on the buyers uneducated claims above and that he has damaged the shoes somehow. IMO deals done.

Many thanks TIMMYBRIXXX. I really2 appreciate ur opinions. Like I stated on my 1st post, Im 100% sure that my pair is LEGIT.
I hope the buyer could see this and drops the claim. About the broken netting, he admitted that he did try putting on the left shoe(one that is now damaged).

Deal's done.

Oh as for the $50 fake Quai 5 pic, thats just me being sarcastic. Just ignore it.

Once again, Thank you.

Lml It would be beliviable if the users that commented on this post had been members for more than a few days. If possible could an admin or others with a longer history voice their input.

Those shoes are real.

This is the problem I see alot on the boards. They think every shoe should look exactly the same as the promo pic all the wah down to counting threads and speks. No pair is exactly the same. they should be about 98.5 percent the same, not 100%.

With that, they looked aged, not fake.

It's not about how long a member has been registered in a Forum. It's about the knowledge he has.
I have been a member of this Forum since yuku days, have bought and sold shoes here and all was good. Heck I even sold a Zen Y1 years back on NT.
So do you take my opinions and comparisons as an input from an actual user with a longer history?

Agreed. Thanks for the opinion.

The buyer has created another thread regarding the same shoe. He posted the sizetag on the thread he created HERE.

Well I might go HAM on this. Lets do the sizetags.

Legit pairs.

Again, another match. The production date ALL started on 02/08/11 and ended on 04/11. Some on the 7th and others on the 11th, a few days difference is still considered normal since the amount of qty produced.

I rest my case. Its like Im beating a dead horse. Im escalating the dispute to a PayPal claim.
Many thanks to those who have shared opinions. Wish me luck.

I've been on this board since it's infancy, when it was created as an alternative after Nike Park went to the trolls/spam. The buyer is just trying to come up off you man, which he probably will. Take this as a learning lesson when dealing with PayPal. Hopefully you have the proof of purchase for the shoes, which you should show (assuming you haven't done that already).

Check out more detailed pics here. Peep the glue on the tounge and the cage/net coming undone. I never seen anything like this and I have 5's that are 7+ years old my dude. I don't see the prob with a refund if I am agreeing to return the sneaker. Must be something wrong there because if it weren't I don't see why a refund wouldn't be done and just resell it to someone else interested. http://niketalk.com/t/637825/jordan-quai-54-legit-check#post_24339556

Now you're talking about some 'glue' LOL. See the essentials I have shown u to judge wether a shoe real or fake up there. LEARN.

The problem is u broke the shoe, and you're trying to return them to me by claiming my shoe are fake. Do you expect me to accept that with open arms?
