Lamar Odom Fighting for His Life Found Unconscious at Nevada Brothel

Cliffs on what Bomani said?

At work now cant stream radio

i really think it's worth a listen..

couple points i remember (heard it like 2 days ago)

- relating to his own success, having money is nice but it doesn't take away all your other problems
- the brothel and condition odom was in at the time this all went down isn't relevant in the context of the actual story
- the fact that he made it to the nba and had a successful career is an incredible accomplishment
- the fact he made the nba despite his difficult upbringing and addiction should be celebrated, instead ppl talk about how he threw it all away
- people treat USC head coach firing for being an alcoholic differently from someone who falls into trouble due to "drugs"
- life's hard, and some ppl catch really tough breaks.

Always loved the work Bomani Jones puts out. Can't think of that many sports journalists who keep it as authentic as Bomani. Vastly underrated personality.

Master P longer statement on the matter may appear to be "ok" but if you look deeper you will still find that his way of thinking is flawed man.

Like what is he really saying?

Without sharing the extent of his convos with Lamar or exactly what he knows, why are we to believe that effort was not provided from any of the people he is claiming wasn't there for Lamar?

And even if what he said is true. The right thing to do, is to not offer support to Lamar because you didnt do nothing for him because maybe you had valid reasons or restraints? That's keeping it 100?

 I forgot about NT and Kobe.

Epic Basketball player = Outsanding human being.

Bruh, nobody said he was a great person.

But for y'all dudes to say "Oh he was phony to Lamar" is flat out wrong. Like I said if you have followed the team you know the dudes that Kobe was tight with and there's plenty of interviews and clips over the years to confirm that.

I've actually seen the opposite. Maybe I'm not watching/reading other forms of media, but on message boards (NT), ESPN, etc Lamar has been celebrated. They haven't focused on where he was found really, just reported it. They also have highlighted extensively all the issues he's gone through his entire life and how he's still managed to be a great person to everyone around him.

I see dudes are using this to take shots at Kobe which is pathetic. If you followed the Lakers over the last 10 years you would know Kobe was very close with Fisher, Caron Butler and Lamar.

Yea of all the people who Kobe could actually consider friends and not just associates, it always seemed like Odom was one of the clear cut ones. Pau too. Bynum on the other hand...ehhhhh

He supports him. I don't think that is what he was trying to say

I dont know if he is or isnt phony. I know hes known for being an ***wipe, so I dont put it past him.

Team participation doesn't move me either.

You have to think of mass media away from sports. The same places where people from the hills of Cali (or wherever) form complexed opinions and solutions about poor people in inner cities

It don't matter what moves you. All evidence we've seen, from Kobe and from Lamar shows that they were tight. This is just a dumb sideline story that's not important in the big picture.

Kobe literally did nothing in this situation but visit a friend who's life is in critical condition. You guys have some twisted mindsets to try to use this moment to debase Kobe.

Good to hear he's breathing. Props to the Kardashians for supposedly flying in some of the best doctors from LA. And he's not out of the woods yet but him being a pro athlete is probably helping with his recovery.

No one debasing Kobe. Everything Im saying has always been know.

P said Kobe was phony for not helping. Im pretty sure P knows Lamar and Kobe better than all of us watching some vids and interviews.(Like he's just going to be a complete *** on camera :rolleyes)

Based on what I seen from Kobe OFF the court, I dont put it past him. Thats it.

Is he truly off the ventilator? I dont know any of the details but they could also be just trying to wean him off the ventilator or doing an apnea test?

He's supposedly breathing, which is a good sign. Hopefully no brain damage, etc
lmao .....kobe was literally right next to him b . whats that guy you posted this for talking about

kobe a real n that will only mess with real ones . /goat

1:58 mark

Apparently Kobe was "rehabbing" and couldn't make the award

This is all that I ever knew about Kobe and Lamar's relationship.  Kobe has never shown any kind of relationship to Odom until earlier this week.

I understand what P is talking about because being a Laker fan, I've never seen Kobe with Lamar outside of the court, and the fact that everybody made it to Lamar's award ceremony EXCEPT Kobe says a lot to me.

I think P didn't articule what he said the best way, you know someone ran up on him and we're dissection his every word, but I feel the message and the point of what he was saying is very true and candid

we gonna need u to explain the picture above :smh:

I don't see why y'all continue to slander Kobe for no reason yet no one brings up how much of a selfish fraud lebron is for not visitng Lamar despite being teammates with him on the 04 Olympic team

Some dudes get way too defensive over athletes and celebrities they don't even know.
