Black Male Ambushed and Detained by Police Due To White Couple Feeling "Uncomfortable"

dont want and didnt ask for your "help"

once again i didnt give any statistic

you asked an abritrary question

^ I read that last night. It's basically the exact same thing that was already posted pages back. As already mentioned, no crime was committed or reported.

whats wrong, anecdotal evidence doesnt fit your narrative?

if it isnt statistical evidence, then theres no basis?

but we're talking about likelihood in relation to fear

asking a leading question doesnt provide the context for the topic being discussed

statistically, not every black is shot by police

does it follow that black people have nothing to fear from police?

of course, the next step in the playbook is to attack the messenger, not the message

denigrate me as much as you can to downplay the point being made

well... that's looking at it statistically...

If we respond to the subject using your logic...

we could say "most shootings of black people involve police"

"but that's a statement made in relation to fear"

do black people have nothing to fear from police because statistically they arent killed everytime they encounter one?

using hand2hand logic, because will smith is rich.. the majority of all black men are rich

As I stated earlier, a call to 911 was placed by an individual. You can call or check the DC Dispatch records for yourself. Anytime a call is placed to 911 police investigate the matter or nature of the call, be it an actual "crime" or not. That's about as basic as it gets.

I'm not disputing that a call was made and the police had to investigate it. What I am saying is, if the police wanted to investigate, they should've approached the individual who made the call and not the person who was stereotyped. If no crime was reported or committed, police should've asked the caller what the issue was instead of immediately confronting the kid.

LOL so instead of addressing a potentially dangerous situation, the cops should track down the caller and investigate? If I call in a terrorist threat right now, homeland security should immediately come to me? Listen to yourself right now.

 :smh:

I know you can't be this dumb
.
dispatch already did this and relayed the info to the police

Ok. But the police also should've questioned the callers reasoning for calling them. Unless the dispatcher relayed that someone was actually robbed, police should've approached the situation differently. I don't think immediately approaching the kid was the best way to handle the situation.

If the police walk toward the location that the call was made ...(the bank)

and they see the person who fits the description

why would they walk away and ignore them?

I mean... were the callers still in the bank?

did the caller leave?

you are acting as though the police spent extra energy to avoid the caller...

when in fact, the police just respond to the location with the info dispatch gave...

the callers could have been at the scene too....

Would not have made a difference

Yea I guess I'm dumb for having the police go to make sure there isn't a crime actually being committed before going to FIND the person who made the call.

Hey 911, there's a suspicious man who looks like he may be breaking into a car. (Tells the police the location).

Ok sir, I'm coming over to your house so we can talk about it a little further, just to be sure.

That's not even the same type of situation. :smh:

dispatch already spent time getting details on the phone

why would the first step for an officer be asking the same questions dispatch asked?

first step is respond to the report....
