I recently purchased a pair of 2003 Jordan 8 Chromes on eBay for $60. They came in recently and the soles just started to fall apart. I have no idea how to sole swap, but at this point I know that one has to be done. Can anybody help me out with restoring these? The uppers are in fantastic shape, they only need new soles. . may have to think about letting some go while the Jordan market is booming. as for these, I mean what are ya gonna replace it with? you really don't have many options. another chrome sole from 2k3 would likely fall apart just as fast. your only option is to use one of the new chrome soles coming out which would be sort of silly or use one of the newer playoff soles and paint it to look closer to the chrome one. tbh you probably should just give up on these as far as wearing goes. just display them if you're into that and buy the new ones to rock. or try to sell them to someone like retro snickers who restores shoes or possibly commission them to sole swap for you. idk just some ideas good luck

^^^ agreed. Aren't chromes re-releasing?

your best bet is to find another pair on eBay for the low with good soles. That will be difficult, i honestly think you should just cut your losses and roll on. $60 loss isn't bad.

I actually wasn't aware they were re-releasing! My original idea was to just get some playoff soles to paint over but I'm thinking of just displaying them or selling them to someone who collects the old stuff. Thank you for the response and ideas, I really appreciate it!
