Any trade for cousins has to include smart and most likely the Brooklyn pick. I'd pass

You're right, it does look like it will be worth hanging on to the Brooklyn pick. However, quality centers rarely come on the market so I would be seriously tempted if I were Danny Ainge.

Smart and the Brooklyn pick for Boogie?

Thats a tough one. Id definitely consider it. Especially if that pick ends up as anything other than the #1

Smart is good and getting better but in no way am i convinced hes going to be a star

Boogie is a beast, no doubt. But to acquire him in a trade we'd have to give up a **** ton of assets. It would be Boogie and a bunch of scrubs. We'd be nowhere near contention. He hasn't proved to me he can carry a team to the playoffs. I think if we keep smart + Brooklyn pick and the other assets that we already have, we would be in a better position

I agree with this too. I can see both sides. I'm all in for a rebuild that is going to take a few years. I would also be okay if they acquired Cousins laugh.gif

Danny has done an excellent job providing this organization with flexibility via a **** load of draft picks. There's a lot of different ways they can approach this thing. In the meantime, they have other teams tanking for them while they develop their young guys and young coach pimp.gif

Simmons is playing on ESPNU tonight at 9 for those who aren't familiar. You should be able to get a good glimpse during halftime of Cs/Rockets...

He's struggling to get minutes but when he does he's def a big factor on the boards. He all but forced Zeller out of the rotation.

As Smart said, it's about wearing teams down. Defense is off the charts right now.

Team is going to truly thrive around the all-star break when some squads start to wear down a bit...

Celtics had NO business winning that game :lol

Matter of fact, neither did Philly. If any game deserved to result in a tie or two losses, it was that one.

This is hypothetical:

Would you trade Smart for Noel?

The problem is Smart gets banged up a lot. (Or punches guys in the cajones laugh.gif )

Missed time last season, now he's hurt again.

Q: Kevin, what do you think about Marcus Smart's injury history? Is he an injury prone or is it just bad luck? -- Arif (Jakarta, Indonesia)

A: Arif, it's concerning to see all these nagging lower body injuries, especially for a player that relies so much on his lateral quickness to be a versatile, lockdown perimeter defender. Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck made some interesting comments last week on 98.5 The Sports Hub, saying that Smart's ferocious style of play could have something to do with him being prone to injury. However, it's too early in his career to worry about it that much. It could just be bad luck and he'll be mostly healthy for the remainder of his NBA career.

http://www.celticsblog.com/2015/12/8/9871074/kevin-oconnor-celticsblog-mailbag-evan-turner-impact-marcus-smart-injury-history-nba-boston-celtics

So you're talking about if they're fully healthy, I don't think I make that trade. But this guy isn't on the court right now and is hurting our depth and rotations. Not his fault obviously, but need him on the court. Otherwise, yeah trade him for someone who is. Not sure Noel is the guy I'd make that trade for though
