The 90's

What a great time to have been alive and experiencing your formative years!  

People did what they did for the sake of doing it, because it was important to them or their immediate circle.  Not for the 'gram, or any other social media outlet. 

Looking back now, it all seemed so innocent.

We actually avoided the spotlight and thrived on solitude.

I actually admire the way the current generation takes to the camera, and thrives on the spotlight.

That being said, I hope that millenials and generations after them get to experience a modicum of the freedom we all had before the world changed.
 
What I miss more about the 90's is being able to play outside without any worries.

Kids nowadays dont know how to play Hide and seek, RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT, street football etc.

Now, us parents have to make sure not to let our kids play in the dark because there might be a crazy man on the loose.

Simpler times, it was easier fresher and we were younger,

we had all the time in front of us,

Now that time is directly in front of us n passing. Things got real.


Miss the 90s it just felt like a diffrent world.
Pizzas with the fam watching mj/playoffs/nba on nbc was good times. :smokin
 
Every decade before the turn of the century had its own distinct culture, music, and style. The 90s was the last decade to have it's own identity. The haircuts, clothing styles, and mainstream music sound of today is all borrowed from the 90s.

Access to the internet changed everything. It was the extinction of the encyclopedia salesmen, the birth of reality tv (COPS, Real World, etc.), and the end of the chain music stores.

Cable went from 36 channels to 60 channels, every major electronics company released a gaming console (Philips, Magnavox, Sony),P0nr was available on the computer, and your Saturday wasnt complete unless you bought a pack of baseball cards, and
every one carried a "jimmy hat" in thier wallets just in case...plus it was arguably the greatest era of the NBA

Air Jordans, Reebok Pumps, and other premium sneakers were so easy to purchase. Supply outweighed demand because of what were rediculous prices at the time, and they were available at all 4 the mens mall shoe stores plus the 3 anchor stores.

This era was also very violent. People stopped fighting and started shooting, drive by shootings made thier way into the suburbs, and people started being killed for shoes and star stater jackets.

All on all, the 90s was a great decade.

Wish someone would invent a time machine in my lifetime so I can go back and enjoy it again :frown: :smh:
 
90s >


The years of playing outside and having the best tv shows. All before technology took over
