It was kind of concerning how openly pouty Okafor was about getting drafted by the Sixers. Definitely suggested some maturity issues. But I didn't think he'd be out trying to get the title of the NBA's #1 Thug less than a quarter through the season.
funny how hes coming off so hard yet doesnt play a lick of d....

Where is awesome? Haven't seen him around all year

That's the million dollar $150 question...

He really does need to chill. What I'm reading is looking a lot like how javaris got caught up. I really hope it's not/doesn't get that serious.

Outside of jah there's only two possible headlines for philly

Inherently flawed plan fails miserably
Or
Mission to destroy franchise proves successful

That's it. It's becoming clear as day that this thing is not gonna work according to plan. It's like the world doesn't exist outside hinkie's calculator. He's incapable of understanding anything intangible outside of statistics. He needs to abort that asap. Unless one of his superiors steps in this dude will just keep driving into a wall because mathematics says it should work

I'd hate to be a sixers fan. I'm frustrated with derek fisher as a coach, so i can only imagine the disdain for hinkie. he looks about as smart as a bag of bricks. He has no business in the NBA. Philly should petition his removal from the team. I would not be surprised if some giant scandal involving prostitutes, money laundering, and fixed games were to headline. He's no good for this league.

How though? No one will sign there, and they have no one that people want via trade. They're kind of locked in to the process

Exactly bro. It's a cycle of perpetual debt. The plan has failed every year so far. As far as how, you're right. They're pretty much screwed. They would have to trade one or both of jah/noel except noel is losing value because he can't play next to jah and has been regressing. So either way you're getting pennies on your return and still ending up with more debt.

Yeah I was thinking earlier, put DLo in Mudiay position with Denver and he's going to play much better than Mudiay is right now. Dude has the greenest of green lights as a rookie.

Bron with a clean "strip" in a one possession game and under a minute left.

To make matters even worse, once he has the ball, he takes a karate swing at Lopez to keep him from reaching. That could have been a foul on LebLeb too.

Rondo over there genuinely appreciating Iggy's shot, and Rudy's over there looking like the "say dawg I see you shinin" dude that wants you dead

I'm on mobile so I'm too lazy to copy + paste, but I liked David Thorpe's tweets of the Sixers rebuild from the other day. Maybe because he compared it to Jurassic Park.

Was a Sixers season ticket holder for 6 years and I threw in the towel last year and didn't renew. Pathetic and disgrace to the fans. Sam hinkie ruined the Sixers :frown: haven't been to one game his season yet and don't even plan to.

After getting hundreds of requests to chime in on the Sixers, here's my few takes on them: their story reminds me of Jurassic Park.

By that I mean; the science is sound. I get what they want to do.But life "finds a way". Chaos is a variable that must be acknowledged.

This team could easily have 3-5 wins, and if so, would anyone be as upset? No. But they lost. The Embiid saga. Okafor's late night fight.

It's just "noise in the system" and it is only heard because of the lack of any win. If Noel were to get hurt again, or Okafor went down...

Those are not major problems over the long haul, but in the world today they'd be seen as colossal signs of decay and poor strategy.

The bottom line question has always been simple; can ownership stand the pain long enough to see the process through?

At what point do they decide to take a new course? Despite what some are saying, they can get better super fast.

The Sixers have the assets to add better players right now. They won't win titles but they'd win more games. It would relieve pressure.

But it would not be adherent to their current strategy. It remains a very interesting drama to play out.

So much for J Kidd making MCW the next him.

... And meanwhile, in Phoenix, Bradon Knight is putting up 22 PPG and has looked like Steph lite on a couple nights.
