He's had too much of an impact on pop culture to be forgotten. He's one of the most famous athletes ever. His face and name are recognizable to people that don't know **** about basketball

Our generation will always remember/know, but I don't know if he'll be looked at nearly the same for future generations.

The key word is "may"

You have people who really think Kobe is only 2nd to Jordan and you have others you think he's just a top 20 player that was fortunate to earn some rings with Shaq.

Over time I believe his legacy may be more judged off stats and indiduval accolades instead of rings, popularity and exciting play he recieves credit for currently.

LeBron, Durant, Westbrook, Paul George all these dudes grew up idolizing him. From the media to the players he's influenced he won't be forgotten. That doesn't even make sense.

I'm not looking forward to this playoff season for my Hawks this teams form so far this season has definitely regressed since last season. I don't want to say its not possible to make it back to the ECF but its not likely in reality this is a round 2 season at best right now.
