I mean, all i'm saying is, that people kill OKC for their isocentric basketball schemes and blame it on the coach when the players are just as at fault.

The great offenses in the league are that way because of random offense

Man all I know is the lakers had an ISO happy offense and outside of that ran the same 3 plays all the time. They put in a new offense and after a week of practice there is noticeably more cutting and ball movement. Mind you this is a team coached by Byron Scott. Granted he's dealing with young and impressionable players but in that same vein it takes a strong coach to recondition a veteran team out of their bad habits.

I suppose coaching can make a change in offensive imagination. Definitely not saying it can't.

But, all I'm saying is that the best offenses in the league, the teams people love to praise, their offense(s) are largely predicated on random cutting, backscreens, flair screens, etc.

A lot of GSW's best stuff isn't even from playcalls

Westbrook is really bad on defense man.
Screen him hard for a quarter and a half, and it's a wrap man. He hates Screen life
The more i watch OKC the more i've noticed this

I feel like he's generally know as a good defender tho. Maybe it's the athleticism & 2+ steals a game
It's one of those things that separates those who watch the game regularly and those who don't. That's not even meant to be an elitist thing.. but if you only watch an occasional game, you might see his athleticism, occasional hounding defense, and a highlight steal as great defense.. but he's closer to below average than above.

241 players in NBA history have attempted at least 1500 threes. Russell Westbrook ranks 238th in 3P%. He takes 4.1 per game.

The only players worse than Westbrook from beyond the arc are Ron Harper, Josh Smith, and Charles Barkley. That's the company he is in.

it is amazing the very different ends of the spectrum that these teams are when it comes to sharing the ball.
