what's the point of having both waiters and foye tho?

I don't understand it, either.

It's true he makes some questionable decisions in-game, but it's glaring how his stats prove otherwise. Leads me to believe inflation playing a role.

I used to be on the boat of people who believed you could win with Westbrook as your #1. But he's evidently shown this to be the furthest thing from the truth, judging from his body of work the last 3 years. Sure, he's found a way to co-exist with Durant, but this is at the expense of the rest of the team. There's no movement in OKC, and they do not play a lick of defense.

Maybe we'd be signing a different tune if the team was properly built, but I'm not even sure if you can do that with both KD and Westbrook. Someone has to go and I have a feeling they both will.

I think a lot of it has to do with the structure of the team more so than Russ. I don't think we would be singing the same tune if they had the proper playmaker alongside Russ (similar to when they had Harden). Its clear there is something missing. The rest of their roster is not THAT bad, but the lack of offensive/defensive movement and the ability to make others better is hindering the franchise from success.

i thought I was pretty clear on what I meant with Its the Thunders Year.

Apparently not.

its the thungders year to be who we thought they were? The thunder's year to not progress as a team at all? the thunder's year to lose KD?

Lowkey, or highkey, Thunder should've tried to trade for harden again before the deadline. Houston was open to move him too

Now it's...

1. You don't want Russ as your first option
2. You can't win with him
3. He's _________

It's not his team anymore huh? He's not Alpha enough no-mo?

Ahahahahahaha

do you guys think harden and durant wouldve worked better then russ and durant?

foye looks awful... donovan is one of the worst coaches in the league. his lineups create no spacing for KD/Russ to go 1 on 1

also ibaka is a terrible passer
Every time he passes I cringe and he hesitates so much when to pass after KD draws all of the attention of the defense onto him. Also serge has stone hands

No one is blaming Russ. The team is poorly built around him and KD. Needless to say, they both have similar offensive games.

Similar in what ways? they both attack different, are better from different spots on the floor, and Russ when given the opportunity to play a real offense makes the right pass the majority of the time. the way their offense is set upis really taking away from their games

I will say that russ has to stop trying to force so many things however, he gets a bit too out of control at times.

Agreed with everything here sir!

kd is good off of screens. he iso alot but is a highly skilled offensive player. . westbrook attacks the basket and dominates the ball but is a horrible decision maker and isnt a good shooter and survives off his athleticism ... totally different type players. i dont see how westbrook can play any other way or why the coaching is to blame. its the players they have. all the other sgs and sfs they have are wack. not much you can do , plus ibaka falling off.

westbrook needs to sign with us next year and have kobe mentor him

kobe is respected enough to be the westbrook whisperer

Every year OKC is the sexy pick and every year they let everyone down

i dont get it . i think from the predictions thread , the majority picked okc. ehh, i never thought they were good enough but the injury excuse they had the pass couple of years made everyone think they had a shot to win a title. i didnt buy it. team isnt good enough .

can KD develop a consistent low post game? hes usually got a smaller defender on him...fadeaway/turnaround would be untouchable

He was shooting that Dirk one-legged fadeaway a couple seasons ago, but I haven't really seen him do it this year.

Because somewhere in my post it said "Now people blame Russ"

Bruh...you guys are on it today. That Apple/Orange thing that was just mentioned is all over the place.

-poster a- "who is the best NBA player"

answer from poster b- "Man the Yankess sure look good this year, though"

oh yea he pretty much has made that a staple in his game. he did it hella times last week. but of course it's based on the defensive stance. Dirk pulls it at any time. KD, still takes what the defense gives him.

He has a decent back to the basket game, his fadeaway is unstoppable & for whatever reason it isn't utilized enough
