Only 1 NBA title in a decade?!?

Like they are just handing out titles

Like most titles for past decade isn't 2.

Like how other teams besides the Warriors that have won a title in the past decade aren't basically irrelevant now.

Geez

The **** I read in here

Yeah, man. I don't always agree with you on stuff, but I'm right there with you on this. Since there have been only, what, six or seven teams to win NBA titles in the last 20 or so years, I'd say pulling off 1 in 10 years is a nice accomplishment. There's about 25 teams that would gladly take the Spurs meaningless "extra" ring.

Spurs still good

People thought they were done as far back as 8 years ago. What they've done is amazing.

Well, in reality they were done. They managed to sucker 3 HOFers into taking large paycuts so they could then pay for 3-4 extra players and it got them one extra title. Outside of that, they were finished.

And in the next year, they lose Duncan, Manu, Diaw, West, possibly Parker, Miller and Martin don't count, and they'll be down to LMA and Kawhi on max salaries (and Danny Green if you want to count him) instead of the bonus checks they were paying 2 years ago. *shrugs* Smart front office work, but ultimately only gonna add 1 title in a decade worth of work. And that one title came because the other team was dead from exhaustion. So, nice "extra" run I guess.
 at trying to put an asterisk next to one of the most lopsided finals victories in league history.

Terrible post all around.

The hard on that some Lakers fans for the Spurs cracks me up. Like, why is it so hard to give the Spurs some credit for the run they've had in the 2000s? Its not like it detracts from, or change the fact, that the Lakers are the most successful NBA franchise ever. The Spurs can be a great, successful organization and the Lakers can be a great, successful organization. They're not mutually exclusive.

I'm at the Spurs game so I can't go back and forth but Thank you Lawdog

Come on CP , it's ok to show some love.

Some of these Laker fans can't help but hate on almost everything-Clippers, Spurs, Thunder, Cavaliers, 76ers, Rockets, Celtics.....Lebron, CP3, KD,Blake Dwight, Harden, Carmelo, Wade, McGrady, Iverson the list goes on

Spurs were better off tanking. If you don't win a title every season your franchise is worthless  :smh:

compromise, we give some love to the Spurs but still acknowledge that the Lakers are the GOAT franchise?

the celtics were frauds. couldn't even make the finals in '67
they were better off tanking

The Lakers wasted 12 years with Kobe, post Shaq.

Just 2 titles?!?

One because Courtney Lee couldn't make a game winning layup and the other because Kendrick Perkins was hurt game 7.

The Lakers could've did better trading away Kobe for future lottery draft picks.

Do you not get it? Shaq was Batman. Kobe was Robin.

With Pau, they were justice league mutual level.

PJ took put Kendricks knee, and this is why. Also, Pau traveled on that rebouns.

Chicago doesn't deserve to make the playoffs if they lose to a team starting Jose Calderon & Sasha Vujacic.

When did Jason Thompson get on the Raptors? Did the Warriors cut him to make room for Varejao?

What I say has nothing to do with other Laker fans, so stop that **** now. I said it, not them.

They convinced Richard Jefferson to opt out. :nerd:
Got Dunc, Manu, and TP to take less money.
Then used that to get Diaw, Green and Tiago. Also helped having the horrible Bobcats cut Diaw so they didn't give anything up.
Made a great trade for Kawhi. That part was well done.
Now got West to leave 10 million dollars on the table.

They're circumventing the salary cap, that has extended their success.

But let others tell it, they've ran the league for 2 decades. Naw, that's not the case.

But carry on, bash Laker fans for things I alone say. Sure.

I'll take 100% more championships than the Spurs while Kobe didn't have to take a pay cut and could continue riding his helicopter to games
