When Kobe is gone, LA will be good immediately.
In 2017 they will be competing for it all.

Anybody will go play there, Lakers are byke, and 1 letter made it happen over night.

Kobe earned every penny the Lakers paid him these last couple seasons, with one retirement letter.

KD and Russ both end up in LA, watch

And you're an OKC fan? Are you crazy?

haven't seen Kobe this happy/relieved since he won his last ring.

I wasn't the biggest Kobe fan but always a fan.

sad day for a lot of childhoods.

especially me I grew up watching Kobe. I'm 27. a lot of people my age will say they grew up watching Jordan but nobody really remembers, we were too young IMO. Kobe I remember vividly and understood more than when I was watching Jordan

I'll never forget being excited to watch a lakers game in the 4th quarter because you KNEW Kobe was gonna Kobe clutch it somehow.

I'll be telling my grandkids about watching Kobe Bryant play.

The only thing I remember from Jordan was his game winner over Russell and his stint with the Wizards

Afro Kobe was :smokin

Idc what anyone says. Wizards Jordan was fun to watch. The team sucked but MJ had some big performances during those two years.

what mj did with those wiz teams was amazing. fun fact...did you know doug collins coached those wiz teams!
still remember mj hitting the shot vs georgetown...has it been that long WOW

The team is hurt by Kobe still playing.. that's just a fact. Every shot he takes is one less shot for your young guys.. it's one less moment for them to learn and improve. So I see that argument that he should just retire now and let the young guys get their turn. I won't argue against that at all.

On the other hand, I don't care about the young Lakers at all. I completely see that perspective and likely support it, but oh well. I don't think a season of Kobe jacking up shots will be the difference between Randle, Clarkson, Russell reaching their full potential... or them all becoming busts.

I like this version of Kobe, it's fascinating. As a fan of the NBA, I'd like to see him try to improve and finish his final season playing good basketball. Let him have his farewell tour, have him go through the grind one last time, he hits a few more clutch shots, get the all-star spot, and so on.

It will be bittersweet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I think KD leaves for LA unless we take the trophy this year.
The bond that him and Russ have found on the court now, I'd definitely bet on Russ joining him wherever he goes.

Kobe might be saying different things and seeming more humble in interviews, but he's still exactly the same. If he had changed at all, he wouldn't be throwing up 20 shots at this point in his career.

It's human nature to always remember the bad ...

Kobe is washed ... This is without a question.

However, the Lakers haven't had a serious team since?

The tried to build with broke down Nash and heartless Dwight and Kobe was still putting numbers.

Kobe was instrumental in bringing more championship trophies than many of the NTERS favorite teams.

So yeah many including me would take this Kobe if he brought me all that joy. While many are savoring his downfall those same people had to endure his success.

To date ... I'll gladly take Kobes career than Lebrons. You can be elite every year but if you aren't bringing the hardware home ..... Well like LeBron said, he rather not even make it. LMAO ... SMH ...

PS 20 years with one team ... Your favorite player doesn't even have that type of loyalty.
LeBron brought into it lol
Can't speak about one without talking about the other.

It's an S&T staple.

Add a few superstars over the summer while Mamba rests up for his 2017 playoff comeback?  Well played, Bean.

Goat troll job. No lie, I would love that so much loll.

Despite my dudes struggles, I'm sad as **** that he's leaving. Especially because hes the type to legit disappear and we dont see him anymore. At least be an assistant coach mamba. i dont want you to leave.
