dont under estimate draft picks. too often, especially now we say, especially the spurs, teams find gems in the later picks. guys come out that think they should've been higher and they go out and grind.
IT was the 60th pick for goodness sake. Guys slip through the cracks, but can be amazing in the right situation. just like #1s can be anthony bennett

I'd rather roll the dice with a late 1st and hope to get lucky than trade it for Jeff Green, who we know is awful.

In the grand scheme of things, if you're picking in the back end of the draft, it's literally a coin flip as to whether or not it'll work out. Finding gems that late in the 1st or 2nd round is tough.

Maybe Doc feels that if he's playing with CP, Blake, etc. that that'll produce a net positive? I don't know.
There was nothing out there prior to the deadline that was going to project the Clippers as being better than the warriors, and yet and still that is the case after the deadline.

A smart team /GM would do this ...GM doc doesn't believe in playing young players unless it's his son ...it's either Jeff green or sticking with Mbah Moute or whatever washed vet he picks up in free agency ...that pic was gon be a waste for clippers anyway so in this case Jeff Green is much better than nothing

Most people DONT hit on that first round pick, not just Doc.
After the lottery, especially into the late 20's, it's a crapshoot.

oh no i totally agree with you. I just thought that list was interesting that based on scouting and whatnot, it took 56 picks before teams believed and manu got drafted or 39 for have-it-all. 47 for marc's big ***.

Who cares. Take my pick give me your player, is my motto. You know, the way you used to feel.
I still feel that way, if I'm a contender.
Only time I'd value a pick is if I was consistently out of the Playoffs and (from an owners perspective) the World didn't know who my team was.
Now whether or not J Green is good really isn't up for debate, he's not but, but....for the Clipshow, I like it, love it actually.
