Mudiay =/= Russell though
And Kristaps would have not been a good pick for the Lakers anyway.. Randle is still a PF last I checked. Wouldn't be able to make it work between those two.
Not to mention that if you wanted to take Kristaps, and were to trade Randle.. You'd get a **** return for him. Screw in his foot was seen as a concern, and broke his leg Game 1.
Would have been a terrible optimization of assets.
I clowned the pick of Porzingis. But he's a good player. Has good sound fundamentals. But I think if he's drafted by anyone else, we don't see this. I think having a number 1 scorer in Melo takes a lot of focus off of him, that would have been trouble had it been T'Wolves, Lakers, Sixers, Nuggets, Kings, Magic, Hornets.. Pistons may have been another decent location for him.
As for Jahlil, another bad fit next to Julius. And by bad, I mean really bad. He gets paired with a defensive freak in Noel and it's still bad. Imagine how that would go next to Julius. Sixers have gone from 12th in Defensive Efficiency to 29th.

Trolling or not, I still see Mudiay & Clarkson as same thing. One's more aggressive and given that license, but still similar results.
Hell I was furious they took Russell over Okafor. Thought you always take the big. But as I had a few days to think, I'm still reaffirmed by what I think today. They took the best fit + best player available.
