Defense.

Rushing out to guard 3 point line and make them Mid-range shooters.

Meanwhile protecting the paint with good inside presence.
The thought of what it would take to beat GSW 4 out of 7 is seriously exhausting

The sustained level of attention to detail that the defense has to be at is just...it's OD. In theory, one would think that the Warriors can't win w/o the three point line so if you stay home on shooters, collapse on the Klay when he's coming off Single Doubles, and run everyone off the line and when you do don't help, you should have a great shot.

Then you have to be elite on the other end of the floor as well

Issue is that it goes against everything you've practiced your entire life from a defensive standpoint and then when fatigue comes into play, it becomes really difficult.

Lance and Josh Smith were really sparing on the bench last night in OT?? These dudes

The weird thing is, neither of them has been bad this season. Josh was solid when he got minutes the two games DJ was out even before that. Lance usually does something positive in the limited occasions he sees the floor. The problem is that there are units, as a whole, that work better without them.

That said, like Shoeking alluded to in an earlier post, Austin has been pretty inconsistent this season. I think Lance could do as much or more than him if he got Austin's minutes. But Daddy Doc not going to let that happen.

Seriously.

Your players would need every ounce of energy that they have for this battle with them in the Playoffs.

I think executing great defense on the Warriors then pounding the ball inside and going to the free throw line over 15+ times a game, you definitely got a chance.

Now that Warriors found out how to perfect the high pick and roll with Green and Steph, there's another weapon you have to prepare for.

lol, let's see what January 20th is about against the Bulls.

They usually give the Warriors a tough game.

Is there any team that can seriously at least take the Cavs to 6 games in the East??

I hate to see them sweep thru the playoffs and just wait on a battled-out West team.

Breh Yae Yae Redick shooting 50% from 3 on over 4 attempts per game.

Avg 17 a night in only 27 minutes a game.

Has been one of the best players in the league this year, especially as a shooter. And at the same time he's defending at a very high level. Career year for JJ so far

Spurs the only team with the IQ and personnel to compete with GSW.

I can see them putting Boban as center, Klaw, Tp, and smalls to go against GSW.

I'm confident GSW will still come out on top though.

The IQ yes, but I don't know about the personnel part.

David West, LMA, and TD out there 25 feet from the hoop trying to guard a Steph / Dray P&R doesn't sound all that appealing.

There's no way GSW/SA fall short of the WCF, and that will be the NBA Finals.

Using the Spurs as an example:

Kawhi guards Draymond
Aldridge/Duncan guards Barnes
Manu guards Klay
Parker guards Iguodala
Green guards Curry

When the Draymond-Curry pick and roll is getting ran, switch Kawhi onto Curry and Green on Draymond. Then hope Kawhi can stay in front of Curry and maybe Draymond gets suckered into post ups on Green. Trying to blitz the pick and roll leads to too many open threes and dunks otherwise, so I would go away from that plan.

No one said The Clips have the 6th man of the year, or the best PG, or that they have a top 5 PG this year.
