Are we gonna act like Laker fans didn't compare Julius to Blake Griffin and Clarkson to TMac?

Top 5 SG + Top 5 PF = 9-34?

Using the Spurs as an example:

Kawhi guards Draymond
Aldridge/Duncan guards Barnes
Manu guards Klay
Parker guards Iguodala
Green guards Curry

When the Draymond-Curry pick and roll is getting ran, switch Kawhi onto Curry and Green on Draymond. Then hope Kawhi can stay in front of Curry and maybe Draymond gets suckered into post ups on Green. Trying to blitz the pick and roll leads to too many open threes and dunks otherwise, so I would go away from that plan.

That could work, but I think it's going to get ugly in transition and having bigs trying to close out on shooters
I only used the Spurs because they have the best personnel to guard a Draymond-Curry or Durant-Westbrook pick and roll with Kawhi-Green. I couldn't imagine being a lower rung team.

if you are the spurs and guarding the dray/curry PnR, you give up the draymond 3, right? they can put kawhi on curry for stretches, and he fights through every screen for the most part, but it would be fun to see the in gm adjustments. think green starts on curry, patty comes in, kawhi down the stretch
I'd rather contest a Draymond post up than a Draymond three at this point. As long as it's not a Curry three or Draymond surveying the floor, I'd be ecstatic.

best pg - D. Russell

best pf - J. Randle (Don't argue with me)

2 top 5 sg - K. Bryant & J. Clarkson

HOF coach - B. Russell

6th man of the year - L. Williams

top 5 C - R. Hibbert

elite corner 3 sf - N. Young

championship here we come

This X100. Drives me crazy to see teams throw doubles at Draymond in the post and leave someone else open for a 3. There are very, very few players in the league who I think actually deserve a double in the post and he's not one of them.

I personally minus the very rare occasions, wouldn't double any player in the league, especially during the first 3 quarters. Feel like one man can't kill a team.

To your point though, the amount of random double teaming that goes on in the league is mind boggling. Half of the doubles that one sees aren't even called by the coaching staff. Based purely off instinct, and this is why playing the Warriors is so tough because you have to go against your instinct, and be extremely disciplined.

If Spo is gonna keep letting Hassan play big 4th quarter minutes, I'd say the Heat the best chance to take down Cleveland.

But then again, I really don't see anyone in the conference winning more than a game off of them.

People actually double Draymond in the post?

LOL WUT
Here's what happens whenever Draymond gets doubled:

Curry/Thompson run PnR, smaller defender gets switched to Draymond as Draymond rolls to the post

Curry/Thompson throws ball to Draymond in post

The person that is supposed to guard Draymond goes to double him

Draymond kicks out to Curry/Thompson, they hit 3

CASH MONEY.

Yea', rugged road schedule this month and some injuries that came from no where. Still have been underwhelming tho
The thing is when teams go to Denver, the altitude definitely take it's toll on opposing teams.

I think there was a recent article about it.

I know because every time the Bulls go there, they lose but when Denver come here, vice versa.

Who keeps bringing up the clippers as wcf material, seriously just stop it guys.
I still think they have a chance. An outside chance of course. They've played GSW just as tough as any other team twice. They probably should have won the second meeting

In terms of the Spurs, Aldridge has fit in faster than I thought but Clippers have to feel good about beating them last season

In terms of the Thunder, their offense looks pretty much the same as it did under Brooks. Whether you think that's a good or bad thing will dictate your perception of them

is draygreen hakeem in the post? hell no
is draygreen a bully in the post? yes, especially if he's posting up a smaller player.

if OKC makes the WCF it's gonna be off talent alone

elite coaching from Kerr & Popovich puts GS & SA over the top as clear favorites for the title

yea' Utah too, who drugged tf out of us as well

Completely agree with this. If you think about, generally speaking, the games where one guy has a huge scoring night are close games. Its when teams have balanced scoring from a bunch of guys is when they separate themselves and pull ahead by double-figures. There are exceptions of course, like when Kobe got 60 against Dallas in 3 quarters and I think when Klay went for 60 against Sac last year. But those are anomalies.

Hibbert isn't even top 30 for C
Doesn't someone have a bet that Hibbert will average 10 RPG this season.

But then again, I really don't see anyone in the conference winning more than a game off of them.
Besides Miami with Whiteside, how about ATL, Chicago, Toronto?

if OKC makes the WCF it's gonna be off talent alone
Under Donovan the Thunder are allowing 1.8 PPG less compared to last year, but does anyone trust them to get enough crucial fourth-quarter stops come playoffs? Assuming OKC is able to avoid GS until the WCF, I wonder if the team defense is improved enough to defeat SA or Memphis for example.

I swear some of you are applying football sensibilities to basketball .

It works so much differently in basketball. The best team usually always win.
