Watching parts of last night's game back. With 3 minutes to go, Okc had the switch they wanted - Curry on Durant - but Westbrook chose to shoot a 24 foot contested 3.

It's stuff like that, is why it's not the Thunder's year

so ya saying he's ben gordon/jamal crawford?
Funny you say that

Wow. DC backed down in a debate.

I'm not even mad at Russ because kd was shying away from that matchup all nite.

Agreed about the thunders year part tho

I haven't seen all that much of OKC this season, but what I have seen doesn't look much different from prior versions. Mostly KD and Russ taking turns trying to make plays. Which most of the time is good enough to win, but not against a team like the Dubs.

Besides scoring there's nothing PG related Irving does well. If so I'm willing to listen and open to having my mind changed.
I simply challenged you on calling HIM trash.

Then you said you were talking about him as A pg.

Which I still say is a #ntExtreme statement.

Sure he doesn't make folks better but TRASH? Nah, nowhere near that

It basically is.

The roster is worse this year though.

So is it KD's fault if his team doesn't go deep? No @Meangene45

Every post I made today related to Kyrie and trash had PG in it. Go back and look. If you base who's good at a position only off scoring then cool.

For example by your logic a center doesn't have to rebound, block shots, or play defense to be a good center. All he has to do is score. Am I right? If not the onus is on you to explain to me what other then score and handle (that doesn't win any games in the NBA) Irving does well at the PG position.

Not sure how that is my logic but let me humor it for a second.

WHAT is a point guard?

Let's start from that point

Been telling folks for years that Kyrie is an SG.

Wiz fans def hate him. And rightfully so. Dude was getting a lot of shine when he wasn't doing anything Wall wasn't doing. Kyrie was crossing people up when all the eyeballs were on him...hitting big shots...and had the whole uncle drew thing working for him, so the media and fans were drawn to him.

Meanwhile in reality, he was an oft injured, black hole, defensive turnstile PG....who was "leading" his team to consecutive #1 picks. But the oohs and aahs were there...so he was anointed.

Wall is literally better at everything than Kyrie except scoring...and Wall has the type of talent you can build around. He can be your best player and #1 option on a playoff team. Kyrie can't....but Kyrie is probably a better 2nd option on the right team...than wall is as a first option .

As far as the "younger" PG's....

It's:

Wall
Lillard
Kyrie

Thunder gonna take it
:pimp:
Easy to tell for me. I could Coach them a to a series win, Donovan's dumb *** will adjust. We're straight.

but seriously...thunder loss that gm the last 7m in the fourth. their offense just straight stalled and kd/russ stopped hitting shots. i know that's their offense, but they basically did nothing on the offense. same ol' thunder bit them again
must be hard to be a thunder fan

It's so rough, man.
Not sure if there is a fanbase who has it Harder than what OKC fans do

Must really suck to have winning seasons and 2 of the 5 best players in the league. You have my condolences

You tell me. I say he's trash as a PG. You say he's not. All he does is score and handle. How else am I supposed to decode your logic? Can you see how I came to the conclusion I did now?

I ask again. What besides scoring and handles does he do well?

So just so that you are clear, I do not think Kyrie is "better" than John Wall.

You are right, all he does is score the ball.

I think most of that is due to the lack of success his teams had before LeBron got there last year. But those teams were also garbage to begin with, so they shouldn't have been good teams. I don't think him being a better PG really would have done anything more for those teams.

Sure, he isn't a traditional PG, he doesn't appear to make his teammates elevate their play since most are standing there watching him use ISOMOTION.

I think there the issue comes is what YOU define as a Point Guard. Since you are the one calling him a trash PG. So that is why I asked you what you think a PG is.

He is just a ball player if you ask me. A ball dominant, scoring, little dude. If you want to call that a SG, go head. Fine.
