Jahlil gave him the two piece and some extra. Popeyes doesn't even have that good of a deal
 
On a serious note, Its sad to see this happen to Oak. Dude has always seemed like a no-nonsense, relaxed, level headed basketball player.

I'm sure the media will make him out to be another "lost, aggressive black youth" to fit the narrative that we've seen hundreds of times before in sports culture.

This is why older black players are so vital on sports teams.

I don't think you know what a hail mary is. A hail mary would be a desperation attempt at something. The Clippers trying to fortify their bench with guys who can score and the Rockets trying to upgrade from 2 38 year old PGs to a younger one to take the load off of Harden are both logical acts. It just so happens that those moves aren't working out so far.

@Maximus Meridius I thought the same. I know Lawson (and the Rockets in general) haven't had a lot of real practice time to build chemistry, but I never thought it would be so disastrous right now to simply add another guy you thought could score and relieve. Yet last night Lawson played 2 minutes, and Harden played 40, barely even being able to sit down cause no one else seemed to do anything. It's just weird watching these games end up like this.
 
I feel bad for Jah and Narlens. Playing for Philly must be depressing.
Hinkie's plan could backfire easily when both of them bolt when their contracts are up.
 
TMZ putting Jah on blast SMH. Hopefully since no arrests were made or charges filed, the NBA takes it easy on him

How is that not lance stephenson? 38 year old paul pierce? Josh smith even tho he's doing alright his name is synonymous with low iq. Wesley johnson :lol:. Those moves have a slim chance of working but it was their only option..hail mary. Lawson even without being an alcoholic was obviously not a good fit next to harden. Then you throw in his off court issues on a team that already has poor chemistry. The Nuggets were gonna waive ty before he wound up in houston. Clearly a desperation move because there's no better option..hail mary.

It's not that these moves "just so happen" to not work, that's like saying a 50 yard bomb to the endzone at the end of the game just so happened to get batted down. These were last resort, high risk moves that never really had a chance but at least they can say they tried.

I'll give Oak a little more credit than that and even tho I don't like the materialism... the youngin' did just get his first contract, he should get a lil' break. Plus we don't know the context of the situation yet
