I mean it's a different time but Bean was on trial and got to play in games. Unless it's a Malace in the Palace type deal or something that happens on court I don't think the NBAPA will allow the league to do it. Now the team is a different story.

I feel like the Larry Sanders and Jah situations are a little different just because there was footage

Kobe thing had to go to trial so suspending him before a decision would have been pretty unjustified

jahlil prob get a handful of gms or less/week off
it's not like he got arrested or committed a crime or sent homeboy to the hospital

Innocent before proven guilty b

For Conduct that is not what the league wants to represent? They'll find a reason man, I doubt he gets off with no games missed
Yeah, except there's no base legally to justify suspending him. We're talking about people's money here. There has to be a justifiable reason to suspend him. "Conduct that is not what the league wants to represent" is not a concrete reason to hit his pockets.

Larry Sanders was on tape throwing chairs in a club brawl. No charges were filed...no suspension came down from the league.
Either the league or the Sixers will do something

I mean i dont see the issue either , to me its boys will be boys but , this is a business, he represents the NBA. If a video of you engaging in street brawls were to land on your bosses desk, youre not gonna get reprimanded? They fine and suspend guys for saying inapproriate things on social media, and this is slightly more serious.

Still some bull! These athletes don't even realize how much privilege they get! Smh had that been a regular cat he be in jail with a record keeping him from getting certain jobs.

All he might he get is a fine or suspension and back to making millions. We truly in the nosebleeds man eff the sidelines...

It's the 3rd place ROY who plays on the 76ers, Nobody cares, including Silver.

There are more pressing issues.

Yea I think part of the reason barnes got off is because fish didn't press charges. This guy is definitely gonna press charges. The video I don't think changes anything really, other than public perception. Kinda like the ray rice thing and how the nfl didn't do anything until it went public. Very different situation but I'm just saying.

Public perception can be huge though... that's why I was saying it depends on how much coverage this story gets. Seems quiet so far

I don't recall the Sanders story really being that huge. More so something that was actually made fun of than anything

Yea that's what I meant, if the backlash is great enough silver might feel pressured to do something. But the video doesn't make it more of a crime or anything like that. I think the most important thing is whether or not it goes to court. If he doesn't press charges I don't think it matters. Would be weird and possibly outside their boundaries if the nba came down on him when the police and victim didn't even do anything.

NBA crimes don't really get scrutinized like the NFL

biggest uproar I can think of was the Kobe rape case. NFL have multiple cases that blow up every year

yeah i mean he'll prob get suspended after an "investigation" into the matter, but it'll be a slap on the wrist most likely. he pushed people around. not that serious really, but can't be doing that to everyone who heckles you

also, arrest isn't a grounds for definite suspension. you can get arrested or not and still receive suspension. law is one thing. nba rules are another

George Karl coming in and giving Boogie the cold shoulder still blows my mind.

Like, you start drama day 1. Day MF 1.
I'm a Karl fan (don't want to start that debate) but God Damn, I mean why take the job and make everyone miserable on purpose
