12-10 lol

That Thunder team everyone raves about would beg to differ.

1-2 vs the East. Only win in double OT vs the Magic.

Clips as a team did a good job on Steph until the last few minutes of the 4th though. You gotta communicate and hand Steph off on screens.

Yep. That's what ultimately lost the game for us. The missed FTs by CP and Pierce hurt, but it was the defensive lapses that killed us. DJ dropped back off of Steph on the screens too many times. It was pretty frustrating to watch, TBH.

Nobody in east after the Cavs is worth mentioning

Russ' defense is overrated in the same sense as Deandre Jordan's.

Good counting stats. Athletic freaks. Tons of defensive potentia.....but ultimately above average defenders. Their lack of focus and discipline keeps them from becoming truly good defenders.

Crazy to put a guard let alone a point guard in the discussion

When I think about the fact that PG is the deepest, most offensively talented position in the league right now, seems only logical that a PG who does a great job defending his position every night and also puts up other good defensive stats, like steals and blocks, should be in the DPOY convo.

I want the Wizards to be the best. I'm just telling you what it is thus far. There is no agenda behind keeping up with the season series between them. I think everyone pretty much agrees the best 6 teams are all in the West with the only East team being Cleveland.

Young man acting a fool early. Working his way into the clown wing of the Wizards HOF with Blatche, Javale and Swaggy.

This season he's on blowout cleanup duty. No playoff PT. I expect nothing until next season.

Yeah, its true that, until further notice, the only team in the East right now that looks like a legit championship contender is Cleveland. But lets be real, at this point, there don't look like there are too many real title threats in the West right now either. GSW is clear cut. Maybe the Clippers and Spurs. OKC is hard to figure right now. Houston has been struggling. Memphis isn't a contender.

@BaxterHolmes: Byron Scott said LAL were concerned @kporzee would take “a little time" to develop: "Obviously, we were probably a little wrong about that."

i guess they thought DLo would be NBA ready right away?

Concerned Zinger would take time to develop so draft a guy who needs 3 years laugh.gif Lakers are byke!

Lakers' management really needs to tell Byron to talk to the media as little as possible. Dude says something dumb on a daily basis these days.

I think he was angry at first but accepted it rather quickly. It took me listening to Zinger speak on Francesa to give him a chance. Kid seemed like a real good genuine dude so I felt bad being angry at Phil.

I didn't blame you though. If I was a Knicks fan, I would have wanted them to take someone who seemed more likely to provide immediate returns, rather than a project. Zinger is doing more, earlier than I expected.

Yeah and I was big on Mudiay which I still am. I'll be honest I never watched a second of film on Zinger and if I did I may have been more accepting of the pick laugh.gif a lot of these reports people said about him being soft, needing time, project, etc were so wrong. Kid is a baller. Has some dog in him, plays confidently, isn't afraid of anyone, really excited to watch him develop. Getting Grant on top of that made it a great draft and easier to accept not selecting Mudiay. Filled two holes instead of one.

Unless the Lakers thought Porzingis would develop into a center, they probably didn't want to draft another PF with Randle on the roster.

it's awesome having 2 rookies that you can watch grow & develop. hopefully they're in NY for a long time smokin.gif

While I could see that concern I don't think it should have swayed them against drafting him. He's versatile enough to play alongside Randle and not detract. Just bring in a bruiser/rim protector like Hibbert or someone else to cycle in.
the Lakers were in a tough spot once Towns was taken

if they drafted DLo: 2 young PG's, Kobe has to play the 3
Okafor: defense is food with Randle at the 4
KP: drafted their PF of the future last season

Hopefully Russell is the prospect that accentuates both Randle and Clarkson's strengths.

Weirdly enough they have a Warriors-vibe to me, the old Curry-Monta-Lee Warriors anyways.

We passed on Okafor & Krispy Po for D'Lo :{

The only D'Angelo we acknowledge is.....
