2015-2016 NBA Regular Season - MDA to HOU - All-NBA - Harden snubbed - Anthony Davis is broke

I hate when Lou Williams drives into his defender and shoots it expecting a foul to be called. Same with Nick Young kicking out his feet.

The thing is though,

in order for Harden to be in a position to "draw" a foul the defender has to lowkey be fouling / riding him anyway if that makes sense.

Like, he already has a step on the defender in the first place to make it happen. The defender is already in recovery mode and on his hip. This is partly why he's such a tough cover and being completely objective, he gets fouled a lot because of how often he plays downhill, and he's so big and strong. What a load to cover man.

Steph Curry and Russ Wes flop a whole lot but no one talks about it

It's a part of the game.

Because Russ is so "alpha" and Steph is so "likeable" :rolleyes

BTW, do you agree with me that Doc did a pretty bad job managing the line-ups in the game last night? Way too much Crawford; too little Lance.

I agreed that its annoying but I think its talked about more bc Harden lives at the line every game from it while curry and russy would be lucky if the refs gave a couple of their flop attempts lol.

Russ and Steph 'flop a whole lot'?

Na. Maybe if you had said, every once in a while, I'd believe you.

Honestly, does Russ know what flopping is?

That's a misconception though. Harden doesn't live at the line lol his free throw rate is right in line with high volume scorers who get to the free throw line.

You cannot be serious with this reply. If you think Russ and Steph flop every once in awhile then I don't know what to tell you.

It's this sort of bias that be irking me man

Russ def knows what flopping is but I don't know about him doing it a whole lot. I can't cosign that.

Steph however, does flop a whole lot. Every frigging shot he takes, if you're within arms reach he's falling over

Boys got Westbrook over KD? |I :\

I've dreaded seeing this day since RWB been trying to prove he's the man in 2011 to the tune of averaging more shot attempts per game than KD.

Stop trying to be different. Lebron is still the best in the league.

How about you stop being a sheep and make your own assumptions based on the "eye test" and also incorporate advanced and regular statistics. When you do those things without incorporating personal bias you'll realize Lebron is no longer the best player in NBA. Like i said before hes a legend in the game and still the closest to his prime compared to the players he came in with but he's no longer "THE BEST". Steph out here doing otherwordly **** fresh off a chip and MVP but were supposed to just ignore it though. What seperated Lebron from everyone else was his defense and that part of his game has fell off tremendously in the past few years regardless if you want to admit it or not. Their is absolutely nothing he does now to convince me he's a better basketball player than Steph Curry at this point in his career, let it go

I'm probably the only person in this thread who believes this, but Harden could make a claim that he should get to the line moreeee than he already does.

Yeah he gets to the line by flopping his way there tho lol. If he gets to the line as often as other high volume scorers, doesn't that mean he kinda lives at the line? What's your definition of living at the ft line? IMO A majority of the fouls called on him look like flops. It looks like awkward basketball b and we as fans have to put up with that for an entire 48. When Steph and russy flop, they don't get the call as often as Harden and they do it shooting.

:smh:

People get raw counting box score stats and hyper usage confused.

Russ ain't better than KD b/c he plays aggressive and scowls. That Alpha Westbrook **** really got y'all thinking he's a top 3 player lol. KD coming off a serious foot injury is currently averaging 30, on 50/40/90....and he's not even close to form yet.

Sad that people have turned on him.

This just my opinion from what I see watching harden.

Does he do his fair share of trickory and / or flopping? Sure. Is it "Awkward basketball to watch"? I mean I guess. I was at the game last night and it didn't look all that awkward to me. When you let an offensive force like a lebron or a harden go downhill, fouls will occur and those fouls will mostly be legit. That's why they are so good.

But by and large, most of his fouls are pretty legit and are more a product of the defense not being able to keep him in front of him. There's not much you can do to a player besides fouling him once he's already got you on his hip, especially if they are a player as big and strong and crafty as harden. And As far as my definition of living at the line? Ummm, I don't know, all I'm saying is that if you say Harden "lives at the line" then virtually every elite scorer in league history lived at the line. You can't be an elite top tier scorer without "living at the line."

KD should leave OKC to Russ since he's a "nice" guy and get his own squad in DC. KD's still top 2/3
