Lawson is still adjusting to a new squad, Dwight has been in and out of the line-up with injuries...there's been inconsistency with your squad and I just don't believe its just a "McHale is bad" issue but you watch them more than me so I can't prove you wrong completely.

no loss or win is ever on any coach alone. these blowouts and lack of effort are all symptoms of a bad system. guys give up because there is no counter to basic things people do to counter our core offense. stagnant PNR.

Harden's ups and downs? Symptom of a volatile system where everyone is reliant on him to isolate and score. Guys think Harden is Jordan out here laugh.gif. He's not even in KD's tier.

Harden has talents that fit well into an actual system with play calls. He can score on ball, off ball, and is a very underrated passer. The inconsistencies are a cascade of a bad system and bad coaching tendencies.

OKC would have won a ring with Scott Brooks if they were healthy. They've had bad luck.

Russ and KD are just that good and overwhelming together. The fact that OKC and HOU's issues are deemed "coaching" issues are the only similarities between the two.

i disagree. they win alot of games on talent but when  it gets deep in the playoffs i cant see that offense winning it all. healthy kd or not.  coaching does matter but people it doesnt matter as much as people think it does.

weve seen talented teams win it with average coaches. big 3 in boston couldve won with any coach. look at first year coach kerr winning the chip.....

Well there is something to be said about how bad Philly has been defensively with Okafor. Him and Randle in the front court would be terrible defensively. However I am of the school of thought that believes that you can build a league average defense with Okafor if you play it right.

Plus at the time of the draft, LAL were prepping for Lamarcus too.

I don't think Okafor is THAT bad on defence. I can definitely see him becoming a plus defender as he learns the game.

these aren't new issues. these are issues that have occurred the last 2-3 years. offense being stagnant, high turnovers, poor transition defense. McHale doesn't know how to utilize our talent.

another example: our perimeter defense and rebounding has been poor. yet we still play corey brewer and give him free reign to do whatever on offense. he's been horrible. instead, we sent KJ McDaniels, maybe our 2nd best perimeter defender, to the d league. McHale's in game adjustments have been horrid for years as well.

Lamar Odom is very fortunate to have survived the drug overdose that landed him in intensive care last month, but the former NBA star still has a long road to recovery.

In a recent appearance on “Ellen,” Khloe Kardashian confirmed that Odom has suffered brain damage as a result of several strokes. While Odom has been told about the brain injury, Kardashian says he is often “confused” and has not been told how it happened.

“We tell him he had a brain injury. I can’t tell him how that brain injury was caused because it will set him back,” she explained. “He’s never asked why he’s here. He’s really confused a lot, so we have to remind him.

“Every day is different. Sometimes he knows who the president is or his birthday. Other times he thinks he’s 26.”

Khloe added that Odom has been learning how to walk again, feed himself and put sentences together, which gives you an idea of how serious his condition was.

Kardashian also confirmed that she is still dating this NBA star, describing herself as a “polygamist” who has a husband and a boyfriend at the moment.

Odom will have to undergo several months of physical and speech rehabilitation, and it’s unclear if he will ever be the same again. We certainly hope he makes a full recovery.

@bhzmafia14 It's a long season bro. They'd probably be the 3 seed if kd was healthy. For a season that's 2 weeks old, they were fine. Definitely not a fringe playoff team like some are making them out to be

Bro, Overwhelming talent wins out almost every single time.

There is no way you honestly think a team with Harden, Westbrook, Durant, and Ibaka, all on the same team wouldn't or couldn't be able to win it all, health provided.

They have literally been stopped by luck. That's really it. You never bet against youth and talent that good. At least I don't think.

What I do agree with you on is that coaching matters on the margins, but not as much as people think. The stagnation that you see from a Houston or OKC is more so due to the lack of imagination and intuitiveness from players, not the coach. Again, for reference the best offenses in the league are that way because of player personnel, not the coach's playcalling. A lot of the great stuff you see is plain old intuition from the player, not the coach.

I don't think anyone is dismissing them from contention, at least that's not the point I was trying to make. Anything can happen in the NBA and its truly about being healthy, luck and great coaching. Of course, when you have two superstar players on your team, they will always give you a great shot. But, if those star players don't "get it" in terms of getting your teammates involved and playing a brand of basketball that makes everyone better on the court, you're limiting your chances.

I'm not for the "if Team A was healthy they would've won a championship" because that's just a matter of opinion. We can make those assumptions all day long for any team laugh.gif .

Star power doesn't mean a thing if those stars or coach don't understand how to make the players around them better.
