i think he just meant in terms of the force on the court. Not saying that he absolutely equals Money, just that he's equaled the force that he was in the league. That same fear factor.

kobe equaled mike too in terms of that force. So far, it's really just been those 3. I don't think anyone has ever actually been afraid of bron like that. hell, it took him 10 years just to take his *** in the post. Steph leapfrogged him. He's coming like a tidal wave

That's cool if that's his stance (and/or yours) but I disagree. If you're using this 10 game sample size, I'd maybe agree. Who does that though?

Kobe was close to Mike in that regard, but I don't know if in EVERY.SINGLE. playoff series he played in, you felt confident that his team would win. That's absolutely the case with MJ. I agree on the Bron sentiment. Bron's not untouchable in this regard and his intangibles range from really good to piss poor. Mike, not so much

you felt confident mike was going to beat the celtics in 96?

you're tripping fam. not to troll you, but you tried to call me out for reading comprehension, and can't comprehend even the details of what you're saying

I didn't say you couldn't separate offense/defense. I said you can't say Curry = Jordan and not specify offense. Curry is NOT equal to Jordan. Curry's offense (is arguably) equal to Jordan.

I agree he's the best shooter of all time.

Intangibles, I'd give you more than 1, but I'm concerned about your comprehension of it all.

1. Competitiveness: Curry spent like 2 games chucking shots out of frustration over Dellevedova in the NBA Finals. He got consumed with it on the highest stage when he could have easily been blowing past this guy and/or passing to his teammates. The GSW are a very well oiled offensive machine. If he didnt have more guys on his team that could play-make, create, etc they might have gotten bounced. I've never seen Jordan do anything close to this. He dominated every opponent with high IQ shot selection, and it was never in question.

Sure shot selection goes out of the window some with Curry, but not when a bum is playing "troll you" defense and you can obviously just blow past him.

I did specify offense. That's the base of my whole Curry comparable to MJ argument. You actually agree with me. I never said Curry is better offensively. Only that his impact is similar. He can't be stopped and consistently puts up huge numbers that result in double digit wins most nights. I expect MJs shot selection to be better because he never had the range Curry has. MJ will drive more often then pull up from 3. MJ was the better athlete.

I guess I missed you saying it early, but Curry = Jordan has no specificity to it.

Curry has that range because this version of the NBA is different from any previous. I think a SG that shoots lights out from midrange can be wet from 3 if it called for it. MJ shot clutch from 3 and got better shooting there as the game trended to shooting them more. This double digit wins argument is a product of their team though. Shoddy argument imo trying to compare MJ.

MJ was feared because not only was he unstoppable on offense, but every night he had the ability to put clamps on a team's best player. People say Pip did all of the locking up, but their assignments were based on player mold. MJ was assigned the smaller/scattier guys. While Pip was assigned (everybody), but many times guys that were physical.

I'm trying to imagine Curry heaving up all these shots if he had to run around chasing elite offenders every night.

I legit don't know what you're getting at fam, the Bulls were undefeated against the Celtics both in 95-96 and 96-97

that said, let me clarify my every.single. Of course we all know young MJ had his problems going up against the bad boys, etc. I'm talking about after they won their first ship. From there out, there was no question they'd win all of their playoff series...in my mind. Maybe some one-offs got close here and there, but I expected clutch shooting from Jordan in all of those instances...which happened in plenty

You got me there with the Curry = MJ thing. However my previous post and post regarding Curry vs MJ have all been based around offense. If you haven't read those or thought they didn't correlate then I understand where your coming from.

my bad, mis-typed. '86'

but i feel you. after 91, I expected him to win them all too. I believe they would've gotten 94 and 95 too if mike aint get his pops murked and kicked out the nba.

can you please explain why kobe has never been an above average 3 point shooter?

because he busts *** with his midrange to the tune of being top 3 in the NBA in scoring, yearly MVP candidate, 1st team all nba every year, 5 rings, etcetera.

and because his opponents were not shooting them at that rate during his prime.

kobe could have nights where he could match curry's peak shooting but he cant do it as consistently as curry does

In terms of intimidating and feared players

Jordan > Kobe > LeBron > Curry

I HATE LeBron, but I stand by when I say, an enraged & motivated LeBron is more unstoppable than anything

Game 6 of the 2013 Finals, when he lost his headband, legit made me scared because he took anything he wanted

maybe i read him wrong but when he said wet i thought he was implying that jordan or any SG that shoots lights out from midrange would be curry-like shooting the 3.

I can legit see GS threatening the Bulls 72-10 record. There are only 4 real teams who can beat GS. Cavaliers, Spurs, Thunder and Clippers. I'm not entirely sold on the Clippers anymore.

GS has gotten better while the contenders have weakened with the exception of 4 teams. Do you guys really think it's impossible for them to be 5 games better then last year?

Those are the four teams that could beat them in a series. Any NBA team can beat the Warriors on the right night, though. I even mentioned the '96 Bulls lost a game to the sorry expansion Raptors. It happens. Also, the Warriors will eventually let off the gas, especially if they have home court wrapped up (or, essentially wrapped up) with a week to go. I can see them being 64-10 and then finishing with 67 or 68 wins. It won't be 72.
