^ good point about not having to be "the guy"

i don't know how many games we'll win this year but watching competitive Knicks basketball again is awesome.

Anthony, in a phone conversation with former teammate Tim Hardaway Jr., who was traded to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, questioned Jackson's decision to select the 19-year-old Porzingis due to the possibility that he may not be ready to contribute immediately, sources said.

The Daily News first reported Anthony's displeasure with the pick.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said Friday that people around Anthony said he was "furious" with Jackson's decision.

"I [was] talking to my sources last night. All they said was, he's furious, he's livid. He feels completely hoodwinked and betrayed by Phil Jackson," Smith said on SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio. "He feels like he was lied to, like he was sold a bill of goods. And he's willing to concede that he wanted his money. But he didn't know it was going to be like this. He didn't know it was going to be this bad. And he can't believe that his second season under the Phil Jackson regime, he has to look forward to it being worse than even last year was."

I remember when Warriors lost to Clippers in playoffs and the majority of this thread said the Warriors hit their ceiling

the only reason people still believe in dlo is that lakers jersey

if he was drafted by the 6ers he would be anthony bennett status already

There were some of us who were on board with Porzingis before the draft.
I'm sure there were more than a few people on board...That's not exactly what I am talking about here.

I'm talking about Lakers. Nobody was talking about Kris in LA. If LA took Kristaps, it would have been Watts Riots fires in that town.

@Essential1  I understand the better fit of Russell, and have heard it several times. Still, it doesn't justify it to me. They goofed, you take the best, always.

Ehhhh Okafor & Russell were not the gap in BPA at the time in terms of words from writers, scouts & analysts that would make taking Russell a problem.

The only reason people went ape **** about it was because of "The Laker Lineage" of big men.

Had any other team been at 2, and took Russell.. Not sure anybody says anything.

And I'll say this here, like I did in the Lakers thread.. That's just not true.

Haven't called anybody from this draft a bust.

Why because only an idiot calls somebody a bust 10 games in.

But yeah Fire, and Mamba Snarls, and 'Man Up' and all the other nonsense Byron Scott says and does.

lakers fans are more optimistic than knicks fans

if we drafted KP he would have been compared to dirk and wilt before the first preseason game

A bunch of GMs had KP as the #1 overall pick.

The late great Flip Saunders knew this & almost took Kris over KAT.

One of the deeper drafts in recent memory and the Lakers went and overthought it.
