Jesus people these days. That would lead to so many fights :lol eventually during high school and after if I ever played any pickup outside of organized ball it really wasn't that big a deal. Just let the other team have it if anything, not worth the drama

Happened to me a few times where i've come down with a rebound and some guy just comes in and gets me to the floor and rips it from me. People just start rolling around until someone got it. I'm not the biggest guy, so this happened a few times, I just started saying **** it and started hip checking and throwing short elbows down low. Needless to say, this is how fights start. Lucky for me its usually between friends, but I mean I don't really care when i'm in the moment.

Bottom Line, the shoot for should be the consensus way to settle a jump ball.

some dude in college tried to tie me up and force a jumpball call, but I wrested it away and in the progress tossed him to the ground.

The guy was annoying as hell, a pest on the court, and I wasn't sure if I had my dribble or not still so I just straight threw the ball at him dodgeball style while he was on the ground still and I picked it back up, decided I didn't want to dribble anyways and passed the ball to a teammate.

I regret nothing.

Street ball and pick up ball must be two different things then.

There is no jump ball when we play. That's for more organized games. Tournaments and ****.

Held ball as in 2 or more ppl are holding on to the ball wrestling it away from each other just has to play itself out until somebody clearly has possession of the ball and passes it to a teammate. It'll go on like a fumble in football. However, all that ***** boy NBA **** where when that happens dudes feel free to jump on each other and foul like crazy does not fly. That's asking for a fight.

All other calls that can't be agreed upon have to be dealt with a quick shootout at the free throw line; first to miss after a make is wrong about the call.

Pick up, defense always gets the ball unless someone has a running arrow in their head to go off of.

Well, that says something for Brooks, maybe he was a good Coach nerd.gif

The mention of T-Mac reminds me, D Lo came in to the League on some numbskull ish when he tweeted "T-Mac could have been the GOAT" shortly after joint the Lakeshow roll.gif

"I apologize, turns out it was not the Thunder's year.  I wish they hadn't played the games"

How dare the Celtics waive PJ3? Did they not see the video of him defending LeBron that one time? He shot 40% from 3 that oen season when the SG position was a carousel of everyone except for Lamb, put up 70 pts the first 3 games of last season including 32 on the Clippers. I thought he was a perfect fit for them, looks like they are going young, long, and athletic and he's that. O well, hope he gets another look. At worst, he can turn himself into a utility defender, probably a 3 but up to the 2 and down to the 4.
