If we are to believe Jalen Rose, Coach K doesn't know what keeping it real is. The players he recruits don't know what keeping it real is. He only recruits Uncle Toms.

Jesus way to mess up the context and time frame he was talking about.

Up until the early 2000s Coach K would only recruit a certain type of black player. He literally just started changing up the type of black players he would recruit over the past 10 years or so. Okafor would've never been on them 90s Duke teams laugh.gif

That stigma was real and growing up in North Carolina, Duke was one of the last pwi in the state to even let black athletes play there. UNC (dean smith) and Wake led the charge during those times.

It's why my dad became a UNC fan and why I followed in behind him in being a fan.

And it's why I always laugh.gif when black folks in my state go so hard for Duke.

That college racial history trash.

No GSW would destroy The Breath

This almost happened to me once. I was unsure what to expect and almost didn't even want to smash at that point but fortunately we never ended up using them. She was just fronting

Draymond isn't nearly the scoring threat that Blake is and put Draymond on a team where he has to be the #1 scoring option and his court vision, defensive versatility, 3 point shooting, nearly everything that makes draymond "Draymond" would take a significant drop.

Draymond green is not putting up no 26 10 and 5 on 55% from the field. He's not good enough. But that's okay. The whole "Draymond is better than Blake" thing is not only wrong, but unnecessary.

Exactly all this. Especially the last part.

Come on man, 81% of all of Draymond's baskets have been assisted this year. He cannot manufacture individual offense and a lot of Draymond's playmaking comes on the heels of Steph Curry's Gravity.

For Comparison's sake, Almost half of Blake's 25 PPG this year have been unassisted.

And this is why I hate when we compare players sometimes. I love Draymond Green but its such a stretch to say he's better than blake, so now you have to highlight what he doesn't do well to prove the point and I hate that because Draymond is fantastic.

If the game tonight was in Sac instead Oracle, I might have given the Kings a slight chance. But it's going to be another blow out win for the Dubs.

Context is kinda important for this statement.. Westbrook didn't have kd and ibaka for most of last year, plus he was out as well which led to a huge hole for okc to start the season.. And okc tied for the 8th spot but missed the playoffs dude to losing the season series vs the Pelicans

Kd had Reggie and ibaka the whole year.. Plus the handful of games Russ played
post #22366 of 93193
draymond pippen would be able to play on any team and thrive. he might not be "the star" but he would make everyone better offensively and defensively, something only a few players do
post #22367 of 93193
Blake smake . Let's talk when he leads his team out the 2nd round and doesn't come up short in 4th quarters of playoff games

I guess . Either wAy any franchise would take kd over Westbrook easily . No arguing that

Both are different types of players. Not really necessary to compare the two. Blake and Draymond both bring different things to the table.

I would rather have what Draymond brings though.

Green is better at what he does though . Great third option on a chip team .Blake first option . Totally different
post #22374 of 93193

pretty cool listening to the opponent's broadcast team. what a treat it for them to call that, like mj in his prime or watching mozart perform
post #22375 of 93193
Not really necessary for your big man to be your first option in today's nba. Today's offense is perimeter oriented as hell. Better for your big guy to be a 3 and D guy with playmaking ability that can guard as many positions as possible.

Russ had the guys from the Kanter trade
KD was playing with Perkins, Fisher, Tseflosha, and Caron Butler

You really have no argument for Russ over your own personal opinion. All advanced metrics (im not even a stats guy like that) show that KD's impact was much higher. I mean, dude won MVP. Regardless of how much we enjoyed it, Russ wasn't winning MVP last year without actually getting consistent Ws.

No one can seriously think that Draymond is better than Blake. Just because he's a better fit doesn't mean he's better. A lot of players make great role players on great teams, doesn't mean they're better than the stars of this league.
