What about the Clips offseason pickups really made people think they'd take the next step?

15 deep

:nerd:

:D

If we go back and look at the people praising the pickups and saying the Clippers were deep I would bet it was mainly Lakers fans and other people who wanted to be able to say the team had no reason to not win it all. It happens all the time with teams/players Niketalkers hate. They purposely hype up rosters they don't really think are good just so they can troll if and when the team loses

no.

well people thought the clips were getting last years wizards version paul pierce. son took a bath this summer and lost everything. josh smith just a rec league player. i think lance might be mentally ******ed. not full ******ed, but a bit touched.

Based on how this year has gone, can't argue with any of that. I'd say Pierce has been the biggest disappointment. Son cannot hit a shot and does little to nothing else. Josh has been ok; kind of net neutral. And Lance, IDK. He started off ok, but has not been good lately. Then again, thanks to Doc, his role and minutes have been so all over the place that I kind of can't blame him for struggling.

^Wouldn't surprise me to see houston fire up the tank. Dwight to the highest bidder

Might be time for the Clips to start quietly shopping CP3 :nerd:

Maybe to an upper echelon East team that is trying to catch Cleveland. Atlanta and Miami come to mind.

Clips have too many guys who can't play. Lance sucks. Austin sucks. Crawford sucks. Pierce is my guy but it looks like he might've held on one year too long. Josh defends at least, but his shot selection is still awful. Not winning a chip with these guys expected to make significant contributions.

CP3 is still good but his prime is over. The decline has begun and I don't think he can hide the team's deficiencies anymore like he used to.

Damn, is their window really over with this core. Crazy to think about

All the bench had to do was not be AWFUL. Their starters are exceptional. The bench wasn't expected to make significant contributions just not always give up leads

I definitely don't see cp3 finishing his career in LA. Especially seeing how buddy buddy all the boston boys are

Would you want Boston's haul of draft picks? Perhaps throw in a Rozier or someone

Start the rebuild around Blake and DJ get rid of everyone else including Doc

Clips vanquish themselves of cp/doc and I have no reason to hate them. They also become legit contenders that always come up short instead of fraud contenders

Avery Bradley scored 20 PTS twice this week.

AB > Wall

Did I do it right?
On another note though, Man.....I just looked at the East, a good hard look......flames will ensue but top to Bottom, East has surpassed the WEST.

In fact, take it top to bottom, or just take the top 1o in each Conference.

East > West

FOr real
