Black Mamba. Kobe Bryant My dude. My guy. My hero.
I looked up to the things you've done on the court, and imitated it in my own life.
We endure the pain; the struggle; the loss; to win.
I've seen you battered and bruised and still go out and give your all.
I've adopted that mindset.
There is no quit in us.
We give all that we can and let the chips fall where they may.
Thank you for all of the joy you've given me as a fan.
Thank you for the game winners and the championships.
Thank you for the fade-a-ways and the 'Kobe-face'.
Thank you for being relentless and coldblooded.
Thank you for being you, despite the injuries and Father Time pulling on you at every turn.
It's been a joy to cheer for you.
You've been my dude since i was 8 and you were #8.
I wish you the best in your retirement.
The game is in good hands.
You've left your mark.
Go be a family man brother.
You've earned it.

I'm gonna miss rooting against Kobe. Should've retired that night he hurt himself. Great player with some amazing career moments.

Kobe is a elite competitor. You don't honor that man by giving him something he hasn't earned. That's not honor but pity. ASG is one thing. Fans game so they choose. Team USA is different.
You're overthinking it hardcore, but OK

If he wants to play it's no big deal, they will let him. He's already earned it

quoting this so more people see it.

Kobe shouldn't be on the Olympic squad if he can't really play, that spot should go to someone actually physically capable of staying on the court but we'll blow out most teams so its whatever.

I guess. So, basically he's saying, "I know I'm done and you know I'm done, but bare with me through the rest of this season while I struggle badly and inhibit the growth of the Lakers' young talent." Not exactly a heroic gesture if you ask me.

Come on man. Ease up. He's leaving. In 5 months you literally won't even have to see him anymore if he bothers. You know that wasn't what he was saying. And Laker/Kobe fans, don't feel that way. Some do, the Ska's and CP's, but it's all good. We're all still familia.

Damn this sucks. Knew it was coming, like Winter, still unprepared.

The NBA is in good hands.

Shame he wasn't able to go out relatively healthy.

Shame we never got to see Kobe vs Bron in the Finals.

Shame he's going to struggle the rest of this season.

But nothing to be shameful about when looking at what he's given to the game. He literally left it all out there. Can't ask for anything more. Hopefully Russ will carry the torch of killer in the next generation.

Resell it to a Kobe STAN. Probably make 10 times :smokin
Man, I'm seriously thinking of buying a ticket to the Lakers last game of the season

It'll run me for $200 per ticket but might be worth it to be in the building
It's a huge risk though. He can break down at any game. Is he even playing tonight?

Then you're just stuck with an overpriced ticket to watch Swaggy P :D

Best bet is to go to Staples the day of and just buy it off a scalper

I mean, I would have thrown $400 on two tickets and risked it. That's no big deal

Now tickets are going for like $300 a piece. Not worth it to me anymore but I should have had foresight and bought them long ago. Oh well

ya better hope kobe's body holds up and is able to play those home gms
away teams expecting kobe to play one last time, but dude is gonna be resting

this is like when ric flair retired. kinda sad, but time for old yeller to be put down.

I'd legit fire Byron at the end of the season and bring a coach in. Try to right the ship for the future the right way.
