Maybe it's because I'm older than everyone one here and have seen a lot of the all-time greats retire, but Kobe finally deciding to hang it up doesn't make me sad at all. I still distinctly remember Magic's retirement announcement when he got HIV. At the time, most people thought he'd be dead within a year because that's what happened to people with HIV. That was sad. Kobe retiring is an inevitability - that's probably been delayed longer than it should have been.

it made me sad when kobe first got injured , because i knew he was done and he would never be the same but these past years ive wanted him gone. athletes being washed never make me sad. its life and these dudes are here for our entertainment. thats where it ends. some people care about sports to much and take it more serious then it is.   

in a interview when he was younger he said he would " not go out washed and if he wasnt averaging his 20 plus point a game he would quit or something of that sort" .... its so easy to talk and not back up your words. kobe my fav player ever but he should of went out gracefully . sorry but i dont like seeing laker games like this. its not cool this is not the kobe i watched play growing up he should of retired long ago.

I agree. Not sure if all sarcasm or actual dislike. I don't know these dudes personally to hate them to such a degree for playing basketball.

i was hella happy when jordan retired . he won to much and i hated that guy. jordan old as dirt and i still hate him. f jordan.

For any of y'all who actually play you know that practice and game speed is different but I for the life of me can't understand how a shooter like Kobe can be THIS bad. Age is no excuse he's air balling wide open 3s and his shot has ZERO arch like he's shooting lasers at the rim. After the first air ball if your cold or whatever u naturally adjust your shot. Wtf is this guy doing in practice? Air air air air air. Never seen ANY professional play this bad. It's like he's trolling with this ****
