All you dudes that really invest that much hatred for athletes are ******* weirdos. That goes for all of you, the Kobe hate group, CP3, Bron, etc.

I agree, but also think it works with people who have extreme feelings about an athlete, etc. in the other direction. I don't think anyone should get so invested in an athlete, entertainment franchise, etc., that they have their own identity wrapped in him/it or take it personally when someone criticizes that person, team, band, etc. to the point they're ready to fight someone.

Not saying we have a lot of people who fit this description on here, but there are some. Those folks need to get some perspective.
Is Kobe taking his stans with him?
Unfortunately, I'm afraid we're going to have to deal w/ that... for a loooooong while. :\

So no.

At least you can get away from the stans to some degree; I... can't.

For any of y'all who actually play you know that practice and game speed is different but I for the life of me can't understand how a shooter like Kobe can be THIS bad. Age is no excuse he's air balling wide open 3s and his shot has ZERO arch like he's shooting lasers at the rim. After the first air ball if your cold or whatever u naturally adjust your shot. Wtf is this guy doing in practice? Air air air air air. Never seen ANY professional play this bad. It's like he's trolling with this ****

legs are gone. defenders getting that hand up, having difficulty shooting over them
still taking them difficult shots. he was a great difficult shot maker in his prime

agree somewhat .... ive never been one to ride athletes hard , i dont know them, they arent my friends. ..they provide me entertainment .... my hate is only hate on the court or field. thats where it ends. dont care about their personal lives , you see dudes here worried and yapping about who different nba players are smashing and nba players personal lives.

He's not taking any good shots or open shots. If he did, and he easily could, he'd be decent. Right now, everything is off the dribble, with a hand in his face, heavily contested since he can't get by anyone and no one is biting for his pump fakes.

This has to be some sort of social experiment. I refuse to believe someone could keep chucking like this after playing ball their whole lives. Taking volume into account, this is easily the worst year I've ever seen from a professional atblete. It's hilarious though.

90s basketball officially ending in the next 2 years
kobe is the last link to the height of the jordan era. no one else left

last three years have been uneasy to watch kobe's career come to an end. it doesn't seem right to end it this way, but he's done

kobe the GOAT to me though. at his peak, i always preferred his style of play & pure basketball ability over any other player ever

This. I actually thought with him announcing his retirement that he'd scale back some, but he went out there and shot 4-20.

And I do think those does put somewhat of a dent in his legacy. All of the others were washed and took a backseat or they had their minutes reduced. This dude still trots himself out there to play 35 minutes and shoots his teams out of games.

Yeah he's still the 2nd best SG of all time but still

There's another dude still in the league who goes even further back, to Magic Johnson's comeback season:

He even guards Magic in a 1-on-1 iso at the 3:12 mark. I wish KG could play just another season so that he alone would have the record for most seasons played in the NBA.

Timmy d don't seem like he's stopping anytime soon dude might go 3 more seasons

I guess you didnt see the game where he got no rebounds lol

His time will come. You will probably start to see a heavy decline next year.

His young stallions are keeping him going right now

I always thought that Allen Iverson was going to play longer then he did. I wanted to see a 40 year old Iverson vs a 37 year old Kobe smh.
