was just about to post this lol but what he said wasn't false. KD emotions usually annoys me but I feel like this needed to be said.

no way.

Dawg Kobe is shooting 10 3's a game at 20%, he maybe the worst player in the NBA and he's jacking up shots like he's the best.

The media HAS to talk about it. They wouldn't be doing there jobs if they weren't.

Naa forget that bruh,Kobe is one of the goats and should always be treated as such...

You think, shoeking? I think he has the potential to improve his post scoring/jump shot. I think he's a perfect fit with Clarkson. I just don't know what you do with Russell TBH.

The easiest thing is for him to play defense and pass. He has more of a scoring mindset though.

The are MEDIA.

Not Kobe's personal propagandist.

If ANYTHING, Kobe is getting off light, he's mostly just getting made fun of but no ones really calling it what it is. One of the worst players in the league is using up 29% of his teams possession.

If any other player did this, they would drag him off the court kicking and screaming.

Randle?

He could improve. But the amount of improvement he would have to make on his jumpshot and post scoring in order to justify being a team's best player / anchor is too far of a leap. His shot is completely broken and his "arsenal" in the post is so limited that sometimes it gets comical to watch him throw up caca.

BUT, he still gets off sometimes off of sheer force and one hand, even if it is in an out of control fashion so there's a chance for improvement there.

Didn't know his numbers were that bad

I mean I knew he was struggling but those 3 point % are

If Kobe was a normal human being, I think he could have made the adjustment of becoming a respectable spot up shooter. But I think he went into this summer trying to be the old Kobe and he's playing that way. He's the same guy that gets pissed at his yearly decline in the ESPN player rankings

The hard part for Randle is playing defense. He's just young, short arms, and doesn't get it yet. He passed well though. That pass last night to Clakrson for 3 was great. He has good vision. He's just extremely out of control and overestimates his ball handling ability. Then there's the fact that he absolutely can't finish with his off hand at all, which leads to all the turnovers, blocks and wild shots.

If he could finish better at the rim, become less predicable, cut down on over dribbling, and develop a 15 footer...id buy in.

yeah but show me the one he hit right before that.

The wild thing for me is his aim is off. I mean he airballs like he was back in Utah...

but, he still gets decent lift most on shots, but his aim is off. Like, the muscle memory of depth and distance is gone. Like, Tiger Woods. These guys had the upmost elite aiming and accuracy, but then, injuries and accumulated time spent away from the court/fairway...you lose that talent. I see Kobe miss bunnies these days. He elevates, but the aiming is off. That's one of the things that hurts me the most to see as a fan.

People judge how hard it is for him to let go of who and what he was. Very few can ever say they were the best of their era, in the world. To be recognized by their peers as the current best. Or to know everytime you went out to do whatever it is that you do, that there is no one better. That is hard to let go of. I keep hearing all the, well I wish he could be like a paul pierce and Tim Duncan/Dirk. That's damn near blasphemous. As good as they are, with as many accolades as Tim has, They have never once felt that light that kobe had. They climbed high, but they never stood at the very top and looked down on everyone. Kobe had a lot of things he took from Mikes game, but dude was another one of those once in a lifetime talents. He, maybe more than anyone, showed the importance of hard work and honing your craft.

You really cant cry about Kobe getting criticized when these same dudes are in here slandering other all time greats like Lebron non stop.

Honestly think Kobe is either using drugs or somethings going on in his personal life. So many air balls :smh:

I'm not here to argue about Kobe as a player but...

Don't let Kobe's retirment goad you into saying things that are contested opinions as if they are obvious facts.

it is not "blasphemous, you can very easily mount a logical argument against everything you just said, agree with it or disagree but to act like it isn't a point that is constatnly being disputed is just wrong.

Even still, it's going to be interesting to see how the lakers build around 3 guys who all need the ball in their hands
I said this in the Lakers thread last night, but Randle is the key to what happens moving forward.

Your thoughts?
The PF position is the most important position in the league because it determines if your team runs the traditional 2 in-3 out or a 1 in-4 out offense. Clarkson is already showing increased range and Russell looks like a good shooter after adjusting to the longer line. So it's really up to Randle to improve his shooting to help out the team. More range means more space for the other players to operate and for himself. He won't even attempt to finish with his right hand, so hopefully the increased range helps. And his post moves are generally a struggle.

Defensively, he has good lateral quickness and challenges more shots than I expected, but his awareness like I expected is low. And that's fine for now since he just turned 21 yesterday. I wish he would look to make plays for others more, because he has the vision and skills necessary. Just a bit selfish to me. Or maybe it's because of Byron's offense is allowing him to iso any time he wants. Don't think he needs to bring up the ball as much as he does, better off just giving it to a guard and sprinting to the basket. Not enough shakes like Griffin to me to make it a regular part of his offense.

Wow, just stop man. Kobe has never "stood at the very top and looked down on everyone." That's just YOU stans thinking that. Hell, you guys put him RIGHT up there with MJ after his second ring.

One thing about this Kobe situation is that it's making it real easy to distinguish the Kobe fans from the actual Lakers fans.
