Love how discussions get so far from their basic origins
that they eventually just come around full circle.

In regards to Stephs description of his shot, I think you have to realize the difference between sport speak/ coach speak and what Curry or any great shooter or coach would teach you. When they are talking about getting square, they are talking about their hips and shoulders.

And Duncan gets plenty of respect amongst his peers. Y'all hear Shaq and Chuck talk about him? They gush about him. I don't know what we're really arguing here. Freeze and some others thinks Duncan has never reached the heights Kobe has b/c he wasn't as popular or considered the best player during his time by his peers. In my opinion, Duncan was/is. He's just not as popular.

At the end of the day, both are legends. 2 of the best players post Jordan.

Still, Duncan > Kobe
i aint mad at this . dont feel the same but it could go either way. kobe and td are the two best players since mj left ...

You're reaching with your one off comparisons.

It's really not that serious. Bottom line: Kobe Bryant is held in high regard universally, professional athletes included. When discussing someone's impact and legacy, that **** goes way deeper than analytics and all that other nerd **** that's hot these days.

You have NBA superstar coming out and saying "this man is a legend, we grew up on him and he meant a lot to the game". There's something to be said for that. It's really that simple. You in here talking about 45 degree angles and ****.
y

My man. You said what I was about to say. All his peers are showing him love calling him a legend, best player of this generation, legend, greatest laker of all time.

And these dudes are talking about analytics. And just pull up all his bad stats. I can DO that for any player that played the game, Did you watch his career or just skim through it and watch post achilles. I question a lot of people's basketball knowledge.

I'm not even a huge lebron fan butI respect him and he said it the other day. People need to sit down and respect greatness.

Kobe was great. One of the greatest ever. If you can't see that you weren't watching and I feel sorry for those that can't let the hate out of there heart for a minute to appreciate what he accomplished and meant to the game of basketball.

If I was a player, I would probably care more about how my peers thought of me than the Media.

I've heard players such as AI and Kobe both say that that's the pinnacle.

However, In my pesonal opinion in terms of assessing basketball players who've played or are playing are just too close to the game, and too emotionally invested in the game to give an objective analysis of the NBA.

That isn't to say that the Media or analyst can't be wrong, or that people who haven't played are always right, but the idea that a Player's opinion trumps everyone else's should not be the case in my opinion.

Was Lebron and the Cavs respecting Toronto when they stood idle hoping to catch accidental grind contact with the cheerleaders? No.

It was rude and terrible leadership by Lebron, the Cavs and Blatt. Lebron ain‘t 19, but to say he‘s a changed person with leadership qualities as he often does self proclaim is a joke.

Its things like this that people will always remember.

Durant, George named Players of the Week

The Indiana Pacers' Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant were today named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 29.
George led the Pacers to a 3-0 week behind an Eastern Conference-leading 37.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals. He shot 54.7 percent from the field, 57.1 percent from three-point range and 86.7 percent from the foul line. On Nov. 24, George tallied 40 points on 14-of-19 shooting, including 7-of-8 from beyond the arc, during a 123-106 win over the Washington Wizards.
Durant led the Thunder to a 3-0 week behind averages of 30.3 points (second in the Western Conference), 8.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 blocks (fourth in the Western Conference). He shot 58.5 percent from the field, 52.2 percent from three-point range and 94.4 percent from the foul line. On Nov. 27, Durant recorded 34 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocks during a 103-87 win over the Detroit Pistons.

So random

In my opinion they have played against each other. They have to prepare for them 36 min a game and guard them. They are playing against every team and compete nightly.

I'd rather listen to their opinion than someone who tells me about PER stats and analytics or how shooters shoot at a 45 degree angle.

I'm pretty positive dell curry helped teach Steph and Seth how to shoot. Just like my dad taught me to shoot.

If I had the chance to get a shooting lesson from Steph. And him to explain the new and outs of shooting. I'd rather hear that than some dude who doesn't play or hasn't been as successful. Unless that person has experience.

But NikeTalk told me that KD was washed after the first week of the season.

Even though someone saying that is silly, trying to prove a point by winning a player of the week award (not even month) is even more silly  . I know what you were trying to say, but its just a player of the week award.

Fair point, but I think the word you were looking for was "denigrate," not "degenerate."

Ironically, Kobe has, by his own admission, degenerated

(degenerate - having lost the physical, mental, or moral qualities considered normal and desirable; showing evidence of decline).
On mobile, auto correct. Smh

 truuu

Just amazing how well PG has been playing also
If you told me he would be playing at this level a year after breaking his leg, I would have laughed at you

I can post his numbers too if you'd like

The best teachers aren't usually the best doers, but that doesn't mean you can't learn something from a player

Steph's shot might be unorthodox as hell but I'd love to hear what he's got to say about shooting first hand.

Porz got yammed on but everyone just wants to talk about Kobe Kobe Kobe :smh:

People comparing Duncan to Kobe ... NT knows drama.

Dudes don't play the same position ...

To say Duncan will not go down top 10 is also dumb AF.

Not to mentioned that the game speed has increased enormously and Duncan still doing it ...

Stop Comparing ... Or at least make comparable arguments..

The original argument was never about comparing Duncan's talent/skillset to Kobe's

It was about comparing mindsets. ej. Duncan has been adapting to and accepting of his physical limitations, and Kobe is well, not. If he could adopt Duncan's mindset, he can age gracefully too.

Duncan wins the hair department though. Kobe‘s line has receeded really back, like past his ears. When Kobe had stubbies coming out, it would tell all.

Cant wait to see what type of PR comment LBJ and other dudes are going to come up with. All that scripted band wagon twitter stuff trynna bring some association with Kobe, and MJ still golfing and was on the inside about this.
