This is why we can't have nice things...

Look...I'm not the slightest bit mad at the outcome of the game tonight. Of course I would have preferred the Wizards to win, but seeing a vintage Kobe performance when he's looked like **** all year is something to remember in his last visit to DC (unless we get a Lakers/Wizards championship series this year

). However, I am disappointed at the "home" crowd tonight. WAY more support for the Lakers than the Wizards. That should never happen. All that being said, it paints a perfect picture of the bandwagon/fickle nature of the DMV sports fan. It's really pathetic.
Welp. DC gonna lose out on KD and Wall

jjs07 jjs07 Wall had 34 PTS 11 AST and 7 REB tonight. The turnovers is what killed us. It was a odd night because of the whole Kobe thing. I was happy to see him finally play great. I just wish it was in a loss.

HoopDistrictDC: You do understand that there were like 15K more bandwagon Lakers fans in attendance, right? https://t.co/Pukss2fdsW

This was tweeted in response...

DMV Laker "fans" :lol: Ownership should be embarrassed that this was a home game for the Lakers. 15k is obviously a bit of an exaggeration, but it wasn't pretty.

@PMatic doesn't count :lol:

You're going to see that damn near everywhere Kobe plays for the rest of the season.

And also...DC is a transplant city now. I guarantee you more than half of all of their attendance isn't actually from DC. Maybe even more.

i thought the bulls had the worst backcourt combo I've ever seen with aaron brooks and that other chipmunk *****.. but if they really got dudley and sessions together.. that might take the spot.

KD should just come to Miami. Dragic is still getting passes even though he hasn't lived up to his contract.

The rest of the Lakers away games will be like home games for them. Way more Laker fans than any other team by a large margin. All the bandwagon Kobe fans and 3 peat fans coming out in full force to see Kobe play oh and the real Laker fans too

Now you can relate to being a Clippers fan. Bulls, Knicks, Celtics and Lakers games played at Staples on Clippers floor are always home games for the other team.
